This is the most accurate way to ZERO GAP your fast feeds...thank you for putting this information out you helped me tremendously...and FOR THE RECORD...I CAN CUT WITH THE LEVER OPEN OR CLOSED....If your clippers stopped working once u opened up your lever...you didn't get the OSTER CLASSIC 76 #1 DETACHABLE BLADE...because if you do...the clippers cut like liners closed...and you can erase any line the create

this work perfect for me. Thanks for the tip. I was trying all the other way from the other videos and nothing worked. It was close but not zero gapped. Got the #1 blade on sale and this worked. LOVE IT.

The fading lever will still work aftrr doing this correct ? I purchased universal guards that work for fast feed wahl and the 76 classic so they should work aftrr doing this as well ? It's a zero gap even though you're using a #1 blade ??

Hey Larry, I've seen a few who have used an Andis #1 detachable blade either ceramic blade (does not heat up) or metal blade to zero gap their fast feeds. Does this also work? They have also used the andis double magnetic guards on this clipper and they fit perfectly. Can you comment on this and if they work? I'm thinking of getting a pair of fast feeds but unsure of which zero gapping method to use. Thanks!

I did this to my fast feeds, the only issue I found is that the moving blade (classic 76 blade) hits the guards. I notice that when its on the moving blade comes out to the sides slightly. What can I do?
@jacobmiller9322
@jacobmiller9322 7 лет назад
Jesus S. I had the same problem. I wound up cutting the blade down slightly, until it was the same width as the factory blade. This allowed me to zero the fast feeds, and not have my guards rattled to hell. Hope this helps you!

It zero gaps them perfect but you won't be able to use plastic guards anymore. The cutting blade is too big and it wacks against the guards when you turn the machine on. Luckily I am going to be getting a pair of model 10s so I can keep the guard so it's not a complete waste of money.

This is just the blade. Your statement would make sense if you attach a 1 guard and open the lever, that's a 2

So you don’t need the ceramic?? Basically the reason the ceramic works is because it’s longer in the teeth which is the same as cutting blades on the detachable?? Interesting. Obviously the ceramic keeps it cooler which is an added bonus but it’s good to know.
@Gieszkanne
@Gieszkanne 4 года назад
its an expencive solution. You can get andis ceramic blades and just the moving top much cheaper. But what I dont like here is that the fixed blade has 25 teeth while this exchange and the andis has only 18. I dont think that this is optimal.

Don't waste your money on this. The guards don't fit. Neither do the Andi's magnetic guards. It becomes more of a Wahl clipper the way it opens to halfway instead of #1.

+Jay The Barber- Thank you for the reply back. Please excuse my rudeness steaming from frustration. I'm sure it works. That wasn't my issue. My issue was getting the guards to fit. If you hold the blade next to the original you'll see that it's wider. I have the fast feed guards and double magnetic purples. If you got them to work I would like to know how if you don't mind?
