As a town hall 13 i agree watching tournaments its based on speed not strategy especially with dragon buff its literally just drag blimp th and get a fast attack i miss watching good interesting strategy's
The game is not made for the pros. You cannot model a game for the top 1% of players, that would just be ridiculous. The game needs to be taking into account all players of the game

Every game of supercell follows these rule except clash of clans. But it seems to me that clash royale is more challenging than clash of clans. Even though of the pay to win. Winning in clash is too f ing easy spam root riders or any dragon no braincell required. And why did they nerf all the defense when the offensive side got more buff? Idk? I play clash of clans because of the challenge now a days even if you are in a coma you can 3 star.
I think "ruined" is a huge exaggeration. As for game balance, I'd say that just buffing some defenses (perhaps by implementing another merged defense like mortars or wizard towers), and slightly nerfing the root riders a tiny bit more would make for pretty great balance. Even with things as they are, many top pro players in tournaments still miss some attacks, so just some balancing could do
Yeah I was about to say. Maybe break clash of clans, but definitely didn’t ruin the game. When I see ruin, I assume break to the point where the game is unplayable and beyond repair.

@@Snek5981 for me personally I just enjoy the base building part of the game so I don't really mind too much about offense balance. Th15 in the past I guess that would b the ideal difficulty for some players, but ppl like myself who want to be good in attack but just have absolutely no time to practice I'd say it's pretty close to a nightmare, sure we can spend money to buy time aka max everything but can't buy experience, or is it like the players who are busy irl bit still like and want to perform good in the game don't even deserve to get a 3 stars? I'm interested in the opinion about it
Another tornado trap for th 15+ and a merged defenses that slows down ground troops as its secondary effect would even things out a lot. And maybe if they’d stop buffing the dragons ever month.

It's still dumb how root riders get a nerf but dragons got buffs. We've all long accepted the fact walls are merely decorations since seige machines were added, and root riders being able to just walk through walls is fine. But also it's boring how much dragons get forced into meta every time a new TH gets added. By the way, overgrowth may seem OP; but it's also easy to screw yourself up by putting it down at the wrong time or spot. So far ive rarely seen it used in general, even during this CWL. I've gotten it down by using a certain strat for it but my clan mates haven't picked up on it yet. Plus it seems pointless to use on any TH below 14 or 15.
I just hope Coc experiments more. We dont need another troop which destroys walls. Why dont they do something weird? Hero equipment is a step in the right direction... but imo, most of them are just like spells, e.g. frost arrow is like freeze spell. The two which are really unique are giant gauntlet and the giant arrow. The new spell also feels like a retextured freeze/invis spell

Also very frustrating in Clan Wars, I'm almost maxed TH 14 and top of my clan but in wars often face TH 15 or 16 as direct opponents. And the TH 14 defenses just do nothing really against the root riders, just spam them and they almost always three star me and in reverse because they have much stronger defenses I rarely get to three star them myself. The root riders and stronger defenses are just to OP if you are "just" a TH 14
The nerf to Defensive Heroes was too much, along with the defenses nerfs. Root Riders were released broken and are still very strong. Overgrowth is still being tested but it might be the strongest Spell in the game just for funneling purpouses alone along with shutting down Eagle Artillery easily
@@divyanshuthakur3011 The Spell tower nerfs were Justified. Poison is super annoying and had no counter, while Rage was insanely strong and can easily shut down an attack.
I had an interesting suggestion for changing RRs. That could be to give them a shared healthpool so they're less effective when spammed. This would make it more of a single threat so it couldn't be abused for free funneling unless you really wanted to face that downside. IDK how to balance the numbers but just think of it in concept. --- Incase you're wondering how it'd work from a deployment standpoint, you'd see the HP on the RR deploy bar and if it reaches 0, all root riders either die or have a system similar to super hog rider so new units deployed after the root dies can just be the riders. That suggestion is obviously a bit complicated but I could definitely see it working and not completely overshadowing other units as a result. It'd be creative and fun to play around if you desired. And if not, you still have Golems and SWBs. It could also work from a logic standpoint since all RRs could be using the same root. We don't know.
Yeah after th16 update even eSports players are also using massive spam city attack so things gone too much boring and i just stopped watching them Hope supercell fix everything soon And when town hall 16 appeared we 1-4 gb ram players got an issue or a bug out game just taking forever to open it ( Samsung players are didn't get this ig ) And for that feels annoying change your id again and again and wait forever so i left coc but i also don't want to play now cause the ores issues is still not fix it and i use pekka and Valkyrie army and they're not really strong and my 2 heros are busy and even my friends are left the game and that makes more boring so maybe I'll be back again in future -hope
top competitive players need to be able to set their own rule sets... Pro players will always break any patch in any game... We have had the same problem in Overwatch for years and I think it is time to give pro competition more tools to limit broken (for pro play) aspects of the game while still keeping the game as is for casual players...
Since the overgrowth spell is so good I belive it should take 3 housing spaces. That would also be a good thing to diverse spells housing spaces, since the clone spell is currently the only one that costs 3 housing spaces
i like how people say root riders are brainless and that they will stop playing game , when same damn thing happened in th12 with edragons .Yes it is boring for defender but it will pass just as th 12 and edrag spam passed since i can guarantee we will get some broken tank killing machine in th 17 just to counter root rider as we got s shooter in th13 just to counter e drag
tbh i think that the overgrowth spell should just last as long as a freeze spell and revert the whole equipment thing to where you still have the equipment, but its only leveled every five hero levels, as well as removing the root rider just being able to destroy every wall by walking through it, thats the mountain golem's thing the changes are about as pointless as the builder base attack rework
@@TheHeadlesss 20+ seconds is a rediculous ammount. 10 would honestly be more manageable. freeze spells are only really an issue if theyre spammed, which i see a lot in clan wars im in
@@TheHeadlesss interesting, but i mainly say freeze spell since they do similarly to the overgrowth spell, make it unable to do anything for a set time. i personally just use invis, earthquake, and lightning for my attacks
@@Issengan i use 4 rages for my QC 2 freezes to reset infernos, 1 poison for CC or defending Queen, 1 growth spell because i guess abuse it while you can (im a th11 in legends league so i need the most power i can)

It's a lot easier than th15, but the game is about competing with other players. Unless you're near the top of the leaderboards, then I dont see how you can claim it to be easy
Im glad the pros are speaking out. Th15 was hard, but the highest lvl should be hard. We track stats with a bot on discord and I had around a 30% hit rate at 15, now at 16 im hovering around 90%. I didnt just become a pro overnight, the game just fell apart. Between new troop, spell, defense nerfs, and hero equipment, the game just got way way to easy.
A game doesn't revolve around competitive players only...a major major chunk of players are causal players who just love to enjoy the game...so I am glad to use new stuffs in the game in my weekend after whole week duty
personal opinion, i hated town hall 15, been only playing for exactly 3 years as of last month. and let me say this as someone who doesn't have no skills in coc. the game was getting extremely boring because of how difficult it was to 3 star, i swear to god i think i only ever 3 stared like a dozen bases in my life time. now that town hall 16 came out and these new super op equipment are available, i've actually been enjoying this game. its made me enjoy the grind of coc again, yes ore is hard to obtain but thats the fun part about clash. also like why do i need to be a pro in order to enjoy a game, if pros want some sort of challenge then dont use them simple, use lalo or something else. where the game stands right now i think is perfect, i hope it doesn't ever go back to town hall 15 days 😅
The thing is most players are casual player's so supercell has some spam troop to make them feel good not everyone is into planning before attack. Same thing is with the edragon
I hate those heri equipment make this game more p2w than usual. They don't want to give new heroes but instead give player new way to spend money more.
TH15 is just as easy as TH16 now because of the equipment. If we didn't have the equipment, TH16 would be just as hard IMO. I don't think the answer is to keep nerfing troops. I think the equipment needs to be nerfed if anything.
Anyone realize the defenses have been the same since th11? Why haven’t tbey added a 5th xbow yet, or a 4th inferno, or even a second tornado trap? They need more balance in the defense
The competitive community is so small compared to the large player base that keeps the game alive most players prefer the game to not take a bunch of time to master it’s a game people pull out a couple times a day to kill time they are catering to their player base which in my eyes is a good thing
I disagree I love that th 16 is easy I hated th 15 the pros don't matter they had an easy town hall made for them already its called town hall 15 they literally said town hall 15 was easy but for most people it was the opposite I was stuck in a 1or 2 star loop when ever I attacked before town hall 16 came out
I don’t see a problem with the RR I get as many defences against them as anything else… Don’t seem to be a problem I’m in titan 1 but usually in legend
You should consider checking how annoying the deployment area is for higher town hall levels Because you can just cover the whole area and it leaves you with an annoyingly small space in the corner to place your troop They need to add a corner mechanic to punish these annoying strategy
People really complained because TH15 was “too hard”, so they made the game easy and now people still complain. Even though the game is “easy” rn, I avoid using root rider. I’m fr trynna get good at QC Lalo, I never learned it and it’s been the only attack I’ve been using since TH16 dropped. The game is what you make it though, if you want an easy time, use meta troops. If you want to have a challenge, make your own attack strategy or use a higher skill base attack strat.
you forget, that people attack you. It could frustrate some players getting 100% over and over, while spending much money. I personally stopped playing the game.
@@JonSnow-nv1em i personally don’t mind if my base gets 3starred, cause the only times that it does, is by people who abuse root riders. They make walls look like tooth picks, but like I said, that’s the meta rn. I can’t be mad or get frustrated when people are simply using the meta. It’s part of the game. If they ever get patched to the point where they fall out of meta, then those same people are going to struggle finding an easy attack strat. It’s just how the game works, nothing will ever be 100% balanced.
@Moraldog QC Lalo and other variants are still top 3. Root riders comps take the 1 and 2 spot, but QC is still good. It seems harder now, but once you understand how to attack certain base layouts, it’s rinse and repeat tbh.
the ores are completely counter intuitive right now, after players begged for some balance and change for heroes upgrades, they didn’t even touch them in the last updates. i was hoping that supercell wouldn’t be greedy like they did with royale, but it seems they’re taking the same steps slowly 😢
In the recent match of NAVI vs Tribe gaming, navi in the first match lost 13-15 to tribe,but then in second match every body in navi used root rider spam and won 15-15(on time) . If this goes on , we might lose the crazy attacks of klaus and other creative players and everyone will just shift to root rider spam because otherwise they wont win
i think supercell just add Ricochet Cannon (2x damage to root rider) like when hidden tesla (2x damage to pekka in 2013) and gaint bomb (2x damage to hog in 2016)
Instead of the max town hall being the easiest they should make like town hall 12 13 14 easier and then 15 and 16 harder for pro players but then again that's just me a non multi million player game developer
Root rider is the most brain dead troop ever. (Even worse than edrag). At least edrag has air sweeper to counter it. But root rider? Its like they just combine RC, wizard, and golem into one. With only 20 housing space?? Also upgrading walls, eq and jump spell obsolete. WTF
E sports should introduce heroes ban or something. Like one team can't use BK or AQ or RC and other has different heroes but warden is excluded from ban list
The problem for the pros is the tie breaker being time (since strategic attacks like queen walk takes time, compared to just spamming). My idea is for the tie breaker to be "lest army" where the person who used the least housing space wins. If that's the same, the tie breaker for that could be time.
I think the overgrowth spell is great as it is except for the bad balancing right now. With troops being so strong, even if you screw up your attack with the funnel and end up getting a bunch of defenses behind you and aren't properly taking care of them, you can make an easy recovery. You should be able to accidentally ruin your attack by flinging troops into a high damage situation. I think root riders would make way more sense if they have a hit point range from 4000 to 6000 the most. Since they can completely negate walls, they should only be a lighter tank. You want them tanking, but you also want to fight to keep them alive.
Stop NERFING DEFENSES!!!! I just don’t understand how a maxed out TH16 can be 3 star with ease. The look of a maxed base used to be intimidating. Now we rubbing our hands like birdman when we see one.

Clickbait nonsense. Our clan is in champs 1. The first 3 days of this season every war has been won with between 36-39 stars. That is not broken. The clan in first place is using dragons. The pros need a new system, where they play with nerfed offense &/or buffed defense. The way they have a different tee for pro golfers. But I guess that’s a less clickbait title…
For pro it's too easy to 3, so the result comes down to time which is even more annoying than before + not creating enough tension for audience. Thats prob the reason they r upset
