I volunteered as a teen in a similar program. The older kids with special needs would be assistants for the younger group, it was so amazing. I gained so much from the experience

The Gemarah said someone asked Eliyahu Hanavi who is Ben Olam Habah, and he pointed to two men in the marketplace. They inquired what they do and discovered they were comedians and were misameach people. My feeling after watching the interview is that these woman are going straight, and i mean straight, to gan eden. She doesnt just make people happy, she transforms their world. I mean the kids , their families, the volunteers. It blows my mind. The amount have Simcha , Menuchas Hanefesh, restored dignity, family harmony, Shalom Bayis for the above group is out of the realm to understand. Nachi was right, its' needed in every Jewish town. Why do people call those with developmental disabilities "special kids"? Some are adults by the way. People call adults with developmental disabilities "special children". They are special because they're people, like everyone else, not because they have disabilities.
