Eric Exactly. He has told us many times that the track is not ready to hold fans and the race will not have any fans at the track. If people payed attention and listened then everything would be so much easier.
100$ people will still show up. They will come by the bus load and I bet they will have a few videos coming up on youtube from people recording the race and trying to post it same day or IG stream it. When there is an option for stupidity, people will happily take it.

@@leviwyatt5921 I still go to work. we keep distance, wash our hands, clean door knobs. It's not a big deal. Doing the groceries is much more dangerous with all the strangers crawling over you at the vegetables. In this time of staying home people most definitely need content/entertainment!

@@dillonbenham1 that's the type of bs that will ruin future events. If I was cleetus any drones that are not his for filming I'd shoot down. Cuz legally a drone can't fly high enough to enter into faa airspace and anything below that belongs to the property owner below where it's flying. So you would be trespassing if you fly a drone close enough to see the race. Further more just pay the damn 10 bucks and help support our boy cleet and enjoy the damn show.

Thanks for clearing this up Cleetus! I honestly was surprised that the event was still happening but when I realized that these 30 people will be spread out around the track or in cars it makes much more sense!
just got back from walmart and there was at least 30 people just in the check out lines.. i think 30-35 people all across a race track will be no big deal whatsoever.

Garrett this is the best way for everything to go with the freedom 500. First people were upset there would be no spectators allowed. Now people mad theres too many people there. Glad to see this event to keep going.

That is a lot of cars to buy every year. Nice thing about the Crown Vic is that he can buy them in bulk from the state, you can't really do that with other vehicles. I am sure most of the cars are going to survive the race. That's going to keep the investment down the FF500 2.0
Thanks for making this video. I was the one who commented yesterday about how meeting with your buddies is not the best idea. It's a completely logical thing to do when you first announced the race and at that time the situation wasn't as bad. So thank you for clearing that up and it'll be one hell of a race brother.

Honestly, when all this first started going down, I was thinking about how they have an excellent platform to bring people entertainment while in lockdown. It is over the internet and it isn't a contact sport. You could do the whole thing without coming within six feet of each other. Now, what we have all been waiting for - I want to know how you get that big of a patch of concrete flat and smooth.
Because every other (and bigger) event and races are being cancelled, people think that you’re not special and should delay or cancel the 500. But the thing is, you are REVOLUTIONIZING the entertainment industry. With ppv, this race is the only live event (that I know of) people can enjoy during quarantine

I happy to see young motorheads with the enthusiasm to save our historical tracks and update them to appeal to changing times..I think you should offer up your facility to Gov Desantis as an emergency facility if it would become necessary to use it..You could support airlift..storage..staging or whatever use seems appropriate..Since you have poured the pad..It would be the right thing to do..They may compensate you..They may help you improve the facility..The advertising would be priceless for your facility..the companies that helped you make your dream possible..and worst case they could just take it and use it if they wanted to.. Im planning to have 3 guests watch the event, total of 4 of us, it's going to be outdoors on my projector and drive in style where we watch from inside our cars, should be FANTASTIC! very excited for the event!

I think the issue is not how many people will be there and how far apart they will be, but the fact that they are coming from other locations to be there. I get that Cleetus' intent it so follow social distancing criteria and he is certainly doing just that....but maybe the travel part is at odds with the intent of the CDC and State guidlines(?). Just a thought.

I NEVER took up issue with the actual event. I support you on what you are trying to do. I just found it funny when you originally said to meet up with friends and go in on the event. Which, doesn't work right now. Love the channel, love what you're up to, and please keep it up!!
I would suggest that it's going to be a shoot out. Bragging rights on a channel such as Cleetus etc. will be huge for any sponsor related entrants. Of course this totally depends on what the camera picks up to be the content of their character. Should be interesting, these guys are going to punch it and push the cars to the max. For crying out loud make sure your waiver language is iron clad.
I had to take my pets to their bi annual checkups yesterday... In the 3 years I've lived in Odenon Maryland... I have never seen more people outside... When I walked my dogs 2 months ago, most of the time I would never run into another soul. Now... when I walk my dogs, I run into no less than 5 encounters, whether it be a 1 or 5 people. I just don't fuckin get it.

Producing these videos is Garrett's job. If he's not doing this, his life is basically on hold, and it's the same for most of the guys doing this race. The risk they are choosing to take by being minimally exposed to each other, they are taking on themselves, and they are doing it in the safest way they can given the parameters of the race.

Llama Cebu Florida closed all the beaches. And they are stopping people from entering the state who are coming from NY or Louisiana both from air travel and the interstates. So, yeah, they can stop them from public spaces.
