My wife has been feeding raw and researching it for 7 years and it has been fantastic for our dog. Her best information resource has been Dana Scott at Dogs Naturally.

Dr. Karen Becker is sooo helpful . Our cat was suffering and wouldn't eat or drink and developed failing kidneys . Took her to the vet , given a prescription for a kidney diet which was the worst kibble. I thought hell no ! She is a carnivore !! With Dr. Beckers knowledge about cat food , that cat bounced back in a week.. so thankful❤

I used to feed my Great Dane 60/40 ground beef. He loved it and lived to be 14 (1 month away from 15.) He had no medical problems throughout his life.

So proud of our Irish Gem. ☘️ Conor changed my life and the life of my dogs, so much so I changed my dogs to raw in 2016 after I adopted a Cavachon with only one kidney and I knew that I could do better for her and I SO luckily found Conor and he helped me HUGELY (for free btw). One of my dogs was diagnosed with mammory cancer and was given a year max to live and because she was on a raw diet she lived for 6 more years and passed away only last year at the good age of 18. This is my first time coming across you James and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU!! Instantly subscribed. 😀 This was an amazing video I loved it (mainly cos I’m Irish like Conor!☘️😛) And now after learning as much as I could for nearly 6yrs I’m doing a diploma in Canine nutrition and loving it!

Absolutely great topic. I have no dogs however I have Savannah cats and since I got them they are on raw meat diet and haven’t been happier. Shiniest fur, healthiest teeth, poop doesn’t stink that bad, wee doesn’t smell. All meals made by myself and it is a little bit of hustle, can’t leave food for the whole day and leave cats for days alone.. but they are healthy and happy and that’s all what matters

Great interview! Have been feeding poodle cross raw and they are lean and beautiful. They get bones too and love them. I’m a bit on the fence about the castration, I agree in a perfect world that yes we should not. However, hormones drive a lot of the wild behaviour and make dogs smell out female dogs in heat. I can’t be having dogs wandering on my property trying to get over my fence to get my girl. Urban environments aren’t natural for dogs and require some protective measures. I do believe that if you keep them with a clean diet and away from the pin cushion vaccine schedules and wait until they are considered fully grown with their growth plates then they will have battle away much of the disease issues. I have actually seen a handful of male entire dogs as pets pass away early from testicular cancer so it catches you without much warning🤷‍♀️ I see a lot of dogs also living long lives with issues only as they enter seniority around 12-13 which I could reasonably expect. These dogs are on kibble diets, castrated/spayed and vaxxed up to their eyeballs every year. I know if I were a dog that I wouldn’t want to eat that kibble shit and get shots of corporate mystery liquid every year. My dog is castrated and still goes after the ladies in heat so he’s happy. My girl is sweet getting spoiled without the hassles of pups. Make your choice that best suits your life and ideas and all the best to dog owners…dog people are the best 😊

We had lots of dogs dumped near our place. My friend had like 40 stray dogs living there. You could hear wild dogs in the bush, could never see them. It really is a problem.

One of our kelpies used to go under the walnut tree and crack the walnuts open he found on the ground and eat the edible bit. They seem to do good on cow shit and things that have been dead 6 months. I had a stray, I would cook my surplus veggies and feed it to the chooks, then the cats, then the dog. Scavengers go last. There was dry food for them, got plenty of raw eggs. The dog was there to clean up the bones and fat. It was a jack Russell. Looked 10 years old when it turned up, was around for 15 years. Guess it was 25 when it died. A couple of people actually used it to breed with cause it was so obedient

I'm totally on board with raw- I work in canine nutrition. I'd just like to know about the 5 dogs that died from "raw." What were the circumstances?

I have a chihauha puppy , she only wants meat. I thought ok then..she is small and doesnt need alot. I share my food ( meat ) with her. Scrambled eggs with butter morning. Chicken or beef everyday , sometimes a very small amount of liver - VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF LIVER...cause its so nutritious she'd get diarhea .

My dog get a chicken foot and a chicken wing once a week. He gets good quality liver treat, but does not like chicken livers. Will introduce again later. Loves salmon, loves raw beef, carrots, sweet potato, peas, avavado, small amount of yogurt. Does not like fruit, but will sometimes eat frozen a blue berry. He is an active, healthy, 10lb shiz-poo. No vaccines except what breeder did. Milk thistle for damage from vaccines. And just ate a turkey neck. No cook meat with bone, only raw. Garlic, no fleas. But chopped fine, 1/2 a clove in food.

My son ate a lot of dry dog food. He is 198cm 110kg reasonably lean and doesn't lift weights. I have thought of getting on it. Lol

Weaned my dog as soon as she came from the breeder at 8weeks, I’d never consider feeding any other way!

Thank you! I've been researching and feeding raw almost 3yr years and I'm always thinking that I might be fucking it up! I'm reading to much into it maybe? I'm not sure with the difference of opinions I am reading if I'm going to get the diet right? I feel like a mad scientist trying to figure out what nutrients come from what! So my dog who's a German shepherd is making the face at me almost a hour later and he waiting tilted head and makes this hymm noise like hes totally pissed off , plops down on the floor and falls asleep . Finally I said screw it , I'm done cujo I have you dinner and all this time he's not waking up! He's ' not moving he is sound asleep and he lifts his head let's out the pissed off grunt. He is probably like moms crazy just give me the darn animal and IL do it myself😂 lol why is the 2to 5 percent liver ? Some people say that the beef liver has alot of copper and I could have issue? Is this right? I can't get a hold of spleen or some of the other ones . I get Beef liver pork kidney beef kidney sometimes lamb kidney but other than that I can't find too many of The Other organs! I do get Heart, chicken ,,beef, and pork hearts but I don't have any access to alot in US. Trying to find tripe but I don't know if I can handle that scary organ if I could get it!

Don’t just feed chicken, variety is key we feed chicken, beef, lamb, turkey, sardines, bison, rabbit, organs and bones some fruit and vegetables and herbs supplements.

Get small freezer just for the dog you’ll need the space.

it's so cool to have these manly men having the same worries and concerns that I deal with daily....I worry constantly about my husky. On day 2 after having him, he almost choked to death, spent several days in the care of a vet.....I really want to feed him raw, but bones are an important part of a raw diet and I'm terrified that he will choke on it! We just got rabbits and we plan on breeding them to feed to the dogs...but I'm already nervous about it. I also rescued a kelpie
