Skip conveniently forgets that when the Heat were down five points in game 6 of the 2013 Finals, LeBron hit a three to make it a two point game with 24 seconds left and then the Spurs split a pair of free throws to make it a three point game. LeBron missed the next three and Bosh rebounded and got it to Ray Allen to tie it. Ray Allen scored 9 points, LeBron had a 32 point triple-double. Who saved who again? Ray Allen wouldn't have been in a position for his three to matter if it weren't for LeBron. Such a stupid argument. Why doesn't Shannon Sharpe ever mention this?

Neither played as tough of competition as LeBron but okay. Also, neither were literally one man shows on two separate occasions in the finals, playing against two dynasties with HOFamers everywhere like SA and GS. When Jordan was a one man show, he got beat down by dynasties like Boston and Detroit. He just isn't penalized cause it wasn't in the Finals, which makes no sense to me. MJ is the GOAT but let's be fair here. Context cannot be avoided when talking about a big topic of debate like "best player ever".

It's not looking good for LeBron. If the warriors complete the 3peat (big but not impossible if), KD catches LeBron with only 1 loss and curry has 4. Based on your one theory about competition I raised the questions of KD have stiffer competition in the West then LeBron in the East. At the current moment, LeBron is holding on to the King crown by a thread. KD is chasing LeBron like LeBron is chasing Kobe. We can leave MJ out of this.. Hanma Yujiro pippen even stated LeBron is a better all around defender than Jordan was. some of that is because of the evolution of the NBA. Jordan was a better mid range shooter. lebron is a better 3 point shooter so that argument cancels itself out. and LeBron is one of the top 3 best passers the NBA has ever seen. now by default he's taller and plays against smaller centers than Jordan did which pads his rebounds. but he is doing things Jordan never did. led all players in all stats in the finals. averaged a triple double in the finals and stats say he is still in a peak position after 14 seasons.

There were key moments in those games where Lebron didn't show up in the last moments. You have to know when to attack and when to defer. I thought his approach in game 4 was much better because he got his team involved earlier on to get the momentum going. Yes Jordan didn't have perfect games but he showed up when it was needed hence the reason he has 6 rings, 6 mvps. This Cavs team will never beat GSW and Lebron will never be greater than MJ

Are we really having this conversation AGAIN? No. Lebron James is not better than Michael Jordan. He wont be if he wins another Finals or 5 more finals. Michael Jordan was the best because he didn't lose. 1 second left? MJ says " I got it" Tripple team him? He spins around two deffenders and dunks on the 3rd. Put the Devil on the court and MJ will find a way to win. Lebron is in the top 5 greatest players of all time but hes no Michael Jordan... 3 peat retire than 3 peat again? What!?!? i don't get it. Why is losing in the Finals some how inherently worse than losing in the earlier rounds. Jordan never played teams better than him in the Finals but in the East he would always get bounced by teams like the Celtics and Pistons. I'm not saying LeBron is better than Jordan but i never got the narrative that losing in the Finals is worse than losing in the earlier rounds or not making the playoffs at all.

Ronald Green in my opinion a super team is a team that signs the best players from other teams, such as the Miami Heat when they brought in Bosh and Lebron; and the Celtics when they brought in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

So kevin Durant went to a 73 and 9 team who got rid of their bench and LBJ went to Miami bringing 9 players with him including bosh to Wade's team. Both teams at the time was the best team in the NBA at their times. As well as LBJ when he went to Cleveland he also brought with other players as well. i am tired of this debate. Every lebron favored debate always ends up how hard the competitions were. If lebron were strong enough to rule them all, it'd be lot easier for everyone. Mj played in much tougher era against much tougher competitions. Mj never switched team, never looking for a better team to join. Mj built up THE greatest team from nothing and ruled like real king. most of all, 5 times final loses? common... I respect lebron, but pls stop comparing him to MJ.

Jalen Hawkins First off LeBron had a plethora of talent around him. He wasn't alone for 7 years. Second, the requirements for the playoffs were different back then. 3 games eliminated teams. Also Bron didn't make the playoffs until they got Larry Hughes.

Jalen Hawkins Dude Lebron could go win 2 more in a row and STILL wont beat MJ. It was over the day he stepped foot on the court. Michael is the finisher the killer THE MOST CLUTCH PLAYER IN HISTORY. 6 and 0 6 MVPS whats that say? He will never let his team lose. If he never left he would prob be 8 and 0. Lebron is an athletic freak and one of the greats but he isnt at KOBE level. To say hes near MJ is lauhable at best and criminal at worst. Also MJ was alone from day 1 untill 1991 season. Besides Love struggling shooting the ball, his teammates showed up. You can't blame Lebron's teammates for the loss. Kyrie was great, JR was hitting ridiculous 3s, Thompson did all the dirty work. I don't think anyone really deserves blame, Golden State is just a better team. I don't necessarily think this should hurt Lebron's legacy, but he shouldn't get any credit either. His team lost in 5. There is no consolation.

I guess we just disagree. I thought Kyrie was phenomenal most of the series. JR was very good in the last 3 games. Love had a couple great games and a couple duds scoring wise. The Cavs defense is just subpar and Golden State is a better team. I think saying Lebron's teammates didn't show up is unfair. They played how they typically do.

Lebron is 3-5. If not for Ray Allen's clutch shot and Draymond Green getting suspended last year he would be 1-7. That would make him the biggest loser in the finals along with Jerry West. The ultimate goal in sports is winning. You have to win to the GOAT or to be one of the best. Dan Marino has never been considered the greatest even though physically he probably was cause he never won a Super Bowl. Lebron is top, maybe top 5. But Bird, Magic, MJ, Kareem, they were all better than Lebron because they won. Magic & Kareem lost to Bird and the 83 Sixers who were one of the 5 greatest teams ever. Bird lost to Magic. Lebron is the new Shaq. A physical specimen like we have never seen BUT he is not a winner. It is plain and simple. The GOAT talk is over and me personally I would take Tim Duncan at PF when doing my all-time starting 5. Magic, MJ, Bird, Duncan, Kareem. The best ever, all winners, all killers. Lebron is neither.

1996 Finals: 1. Bulls won 72 reg season games 2. Games 1-2, Shawn Kemp scored more points and better % than MJ 3. Game 4, MJ scored 23 pts on 6/19 (32%). That game was the Sonics first win in the Finals. 4. Game 6, the game that the Bulls won the series with, MJ scored 22 points on 5/19 (26%). Is this what you call not letting a series go to game 7? 22 points on 26% in a game 6 is one of the stains on MJ's resume. And yet the Bulls won that game still. You can draw the conclusion that that team was pretty good still without MJ on the floor.

Lebron got everything he asked for, conspired with D Wade and Bosh to hit Miami, handpicked the rest of the team then left them high and dry once he saw Cleveland had assets to make moves to let him handpick his team again. Let's just call it what it is. He got everything he wanted, two other all stars and a bench full of quality team mates. They lost because they don't play team ball like the Warriors. Lebron and Kyrie dribble the ball into oblivion and try to get others involved when the shot clock is going down, so of course there's no rhythm. They simply got outplayed. Lack of chemistry and lack of team ball killed them, they have the capability to beat golden state if they played the right way but they don't.

Why do they care so much about another man's legacy. 3-5 is not a bad thing when you consider there's all-time greats that dont even have one nor been to one. He's been 7 straight times! That's an accomplishment in itself.
