I love this video! I have specialized in crested breeding for a while now, and know the morphs like the back of my hand. Decided to try some new geckos out, and really dig deep into the morphs and traits. This definitely helped me build a good base!

As far as the incomplete recessive goes I've heard it a lot in breeding dogs Merle to be precise and brindle you only need one copy to make it visual Merle it's frowned on doing Merle tomorrow of course but as for brindle if you have a double brindle you're guaranteed all pups in that litter to be brindle instead of just carrier for it it's a recessive that's dominant

Can anyone help me? I’m looking on buying a gecko, and in his pictures he has no spots, stripes, or markings. He’s all yellow, and his tail is an yellow-ish orange at the base of the tail, and then it changes to grey. I’ve got no idea what morph he is, and no morphs I have searched match him.

So your half right at the dna part. What is passed by the mom is a whole chromosome. The second pair of the chromosome is the dad's. The dna strand you were showing was actually a part of one chromosome. The branches of the double helix actually stands for a,t, c, or g which have fancier names but I digress. A line of code of the a,c,g, or t will be broken down by a DNA reader(informal term) and will get processed by rna into a protein. The chromosome that carries the dominate DNA will actually be the one that will be read by the rna protein.
