Mindset and the nature of our thoughts will determine the path we take in life. An integral component of this is our self-talk which can either hold us back or propel us forward. It’s that internal voice which has such a powerful influence on the choices and decisions we make, ultimately shaping our self-image. If we want to believe something different about ourselves, to have greater self-confidence, can we reinvent ourselves for success? Because life will never be better than our self-image allows it to be, so the change has to start with us. Kirsty’s career to date spans many sectors - Theatre, Public Relations, Third Sector, Coaching and Training; the common thread being the art of communication. Kirsty is a people person - it’s her passion and she’s adept at understanding the psychology of her audience and comprehending the best way to connect with them.
Continuing this theme, Kirsty co-runs a mindset management business with her Dad and sister. Growing up with the principles of the company’s signature Winning Edge programme, Kirsty’s role as blogger, trainer and coach helps people understand how the nature of their thinking has an impact on their results and success. Kirsty also mentors entrepreneurs, as well as working in schools and colleges to help young people learn the importance of understanding their mindset to realise their full potential.
Love, fun and passion are at the heart of all Kirsty believes in and therefore, experiences and adventures with her husband and children are key to her work/life balance.
As well as delivering a powerful multi-generational TEDx Talk with her daughter and Dad on the importance of feeling worthy of happiness, Kirsty’s 15 minutes of fame began some time ago during her heady PR days. She was successfully caught on camera by Channel 4’s Big Breakfast - dressed as a Mr Kipling Strawberry Sundae Tart, waiting in the queue for Wimbledon tickets. What? You didn’t see her? You missed a treat. Quite literally… This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Hey Dear, Thank you for sharing such useful advice. I began my journey to reinvent myself a year ago, and I'm now living healthier, more confident, and stronger, earning six figures, and having time to enjoy family and friends. I'm happier now because I'm living my life for myself. This is to encourage someone that "you may start whenever you want to have a reset, it's worth it!" I'm striving to keep growing since it's a journey.

@Pernile Clarke Change your mindset, read self-help books, expand knowledge, budget and don't spend on impulse, save, take your finances seriously, eat healthy, exercise your body, meditate; the list goes on... I hope it is useful to you.

There are numerous investment options (real estate, stocks, crypto, ETFs) but my greatest recommendation is to have a pro to lead you toward a successful one.

@Reinventing U . Hi late reply and maybe you have found the answer I really recommend Marisa Peer books "I am enough" and the other on confidence. These really focus on how we talk to ourselves. I have worked so much on this myself and it's been lifechanging all the negative talk to myself. Through firstly identifying the negative talk and turning it around to something positive. Simply illustrated - "I'm always forgetting things" If you say that you will! Reverse it to "I am organized and focused and won't forget". Use small affirmations daily and eventually it will come naturally . I find now I really see others do this negative talk so much it was an eye opener.

I really like the idea of focusing on your self-talk! I know I struggle with changing my own thoughts and that little voice in my head. I wonder what kind of things can help me change my self-talk, though. I think this will be harder than Kirsty makes it look!

I think my issue starts with thinking if this thing what I am doing will be needed in 5 years and it tears me apart knowing what I do will not be needed in the future where AI will automate most things. If anyone have advice for me not to be afraid of automation please inspire me to not think in a way that in 5 years my skills will not be needed and all that time wasted will never get back. I have alot of talent but when I think of taking it somewhere, it falls short because of the fear wasting time in doing something people just won't care for in the future. If anyone is having the same problem, please relate how you get out of the automation dilemma.

In concise: Belief system is everything, if you believe in yourself like in Taylor Swift´s song awesome which includes the "-me" then it goes fine. Otherwise you are baffled middle-aged saying what happened. Middle age is which she doesn´t open more. There you go. The talk was nice, well, yes, it was nice. Thank me later.
