I showed this to my 14 years old nephew who was bagging C & D in school. The next day, he told me: uncle, I think I’m gonna run for Senate one day. The following months, he started to record B+ and A-
WOW .. and another WOW.. Absolutely brilliant talk. This talk should be play in every School, every concert, every sports event., you get get my point.. it should have at least 4 billion views , and maybe just maybe we could change this world for the better. Mind over matter. Thank you
"How powerful your mind is at controlling you and your reality, it doesn't just change how you see the world, it changes the physiological reality of your body" 🤯
It turned out to be exactly what she said it wouldn't: a motivational talk. It is well executed and she seems very confortable with the stage and this type of presentantion. Content-wise I have concerns though. I felt like her premises were conveniently chosen with no backup information at all. There's a moment when I saw a contradiction as well. The part when she says that in order to not get stressed by consequences, one should project how would it affect you in the future (5 years, 10 years from now, etc). The problem is that the projection is the very source of anxiety in the example. It is because the person doesn't know the future that the consequences of current actions are paralizing, so to rely on a "faulty" projection of the future can cause even more anxiety. Well, only my thoughs on the matter. If the presentation worked for you, then I'm glad! Cheers
The idea that makes most sense to me is that we are basically a consciousness that is neutral by nature but can go in absolutely any direction aka you can be absolutely anything you choose to be.
@@Your-moms-gigolo Think of it in the fluid sense- you can choose to be predatory like a shark, brave like a superhero or soaring like an eagle, choosing to transcend over negativities. It’s all in the mind, the actual ‘matter’ is immaterial 😊
Omg, I’ve been connecting the disconnected my entire life and I feel like “Am I the only one having this kind of thought?” I question my own way of thinking and now I’m grateful with the way I think. Thank you for your brilliant speech.
Paneez has a great future in such lectures. Very young, brilliant, and articulate. I look forward to seeing her tour Africa and other continents to help dispell the ignorance in mankind
“Sometimes, the boundaries between the body and the mind are blurred.” Not only sometimes, they are one and the same (perception), the body is one and the same with all life (microbiomes), and life is one and the same with everything (the elements that make up life are forged in supernovae)!
Thankful to have come across this video at exactly the moment when I needed to hear it. One of the best, if not, the best Ted Talk I have ever watched. It feels like being punched in the face with the fist of AWESOME!
TED X motivates the individuals to achieving goals. Perhaps now we see the mental benefits for expanding our communication skills. MIND over the matter. The containment’s or reframes from others which do not allow access must be overcome.
It's a great show that I have never seen before on brain how it works and how we actually analyse the things it gave me a completely new perspective. I was about to study thinking fast and slow thanks for shaving my time.
This TED talk was great but, it sounds like TED Talk by Tim Urban, Inside the Mind of a Master Procrastinator. I don’t know which was made first but that talk was great to.
I it weird that i like her... that feeling just came over me 😂. i must be more tired than i thought. I love what she says i learn how to shut up...all my selfs, that was today by the way😊 so peaceful, what u r saying is what i needed in my first day of peace in a long time thank u, very enthusiastic u r 😅
What is true knowledge? Experience?? Knowledge is power, and power is nothing w/out control, take the wheel and drive! U are what U think, our view/perception is our understanding, We dont see what truly is, but only acknowledge/perceive what the mind is prepared to understand, A change in perception will change how we experience life" ~AMS TAT TVAM ASMI🤙🏻🤘🏻💪🏻🙏🏻 ⚔️❤️🔥⚔️❤️🔥
I love the first half of this talk, but not the last. Her only solution to procrastination is to give myself a fake dateline? That failed so many times and there's articles that explains why it's not a good solution. The big picture solution just caused more anxiety and the connect the dot technique.. well I can't really understand how it can be applied for my problem.
destroy it. frustration upset unpleasant. devos. what else. keep enjoyment pleasure awesomeness fun excitement joy happiness. love kindness peace yeah man. the positives.
This has nothing to do with this talk or her personally. I saw the lower half of the screen as I was looking at another screen to do work. And I noticed- thinking - why did women's clothing become so unattractive. The jacket is fantastic but it is now common to see the bottom half of the speakers style on women today. Growing up women's fashion was so pretty and beautiful to look at(not referring to baring or not baring skin). Because something's become common doesn't mean it's attractive. Thus the style on the lower half of screen is unattractive and distracting. Too bad. The way we dressed used to be so beautiful, streamlined, enhancing in a positive light. Some of you know just what I mean. Just an observation.
I agree with @crystalrith7296! Also, it’s completely false to say that climate change predictions haven’t come true. Have you seen the polar ice caps??? In case you haven’t, they are melting rapidly which is causing our oceans to rise and is affecting animals and ecosystems around the world. This is just one of the numerous ways our planet is being affected by greenhouse gases and climate change so denying it is extremely dangerous and selfish.
You can't hold a tape measure to the surface of the sun, or take a field sample of it for analysis either. Yet, we know how far away it is, what it's made of, and a good idea of how much longer it will be here. The Cascadia faultline has been due since the 1700s when the last major quake left the tectonic plates under great stress. It's not a question of whether or not radical changes in the climate are going to happen, or whether or not the pnw will experience a megathrust, the only variable is the when. Human lifespan isn't more than a fleeting moment to celestial bodies. Either of these things could happen 200 years from now and be considered fashionably late, if not punctual.
