Theres a super secret room that spawns bone hearts even before theyre unlocked, but i guess that would take even more rng

Something interesting I just saw on the Isaac wiki: If you unlock Black Sacks via Tainted Judas, they can actually spawn bone hearts even if The Forgotten hasn't been unlocked yet!

suggestion: don't blur the gameplay when there is nothing other graphics on top

it started as a fun video and now he discovered the best glitch for speedrunners (mom cutscene skip)

For future reference if you have photoshop, you take the sprites of items and increase the image size with the setting "nearest neighbor". Makes it so sprites don't look blurry. Much love.

That run in the background just kills my eyes

Just a heads up: the Faded Polaroid, Broken Padlock, and the Sharp Key all open the door to The Ascension (and none need unlocks), so 5 satan kills aren't necessarily needed to get the negative for the strange door

For the love of god why did you make the gameplay blurred, that’s exactly my level of vision without glasses and it messed with my head the entire vid.

*I must add that as Tainted Cain you need to have less than 8 passives, as switching to Tainted Isaac while having more items than your inventory space confuses the game and crashes it.

Really great video! Minor request, when you make videos like this in the future, can you try to avoid having just blurred gameplay on for such long periods of time? Either it not being blurred or having something on top of it would have been good, but it was blurred with nothing on it for a long time my eyes started to hurt lol

You don't need to kill Satan 5 times for the ascent. The broken padlock unlocks the Acension door too.

It's not like I'm planning to run this insane shit but if there were some pictures to match the words it would make it a bit easier to follow.

I would think one of the biggest problems with getting diplopia in the shop is that if you start a brand new save file, your shops will be level 1 and would require a game breaking amount of coins donated to have a decent chance of finding diplopia

About the crafting recipes, no, the r key doesn't need bone hearts. Each item has 50 thousand random recipes, the wiki and the platinumgod tool only show you a handful of the most convenient ones.

Hey man! I really love the video and format... But the blur effect over the gameplay is really hard to look at. Even if the gameplay isn't directly related to what you are talking about, you won't confuse people by leaving the footage unblurred. I see you've made a lot of videos, so I'm not questioning your clear competence, but I would recommend only blurring the footage when putting elements in front of the background footage, otherwise, you can leave it unblurred. I have to say though, the structure and story telling is on-point, absolute perfection, so keep up the great work. Can't wait to see the next video! :)

The hard crash thing might still work if you alt-f4 while going down the trap door after beating moms hearts. I'd assume it would count and then put you back to the start of that floor, but I'm not sure

I love theory crafting like this for anyone curious of the odds of finding this one exact needed seed, without taking into account random chance for things like soul hearts dropping or coins etc. etc. We have 26 letters, 10 possible number digits (making 36) in an 8 digit combination numbers & digits can repeat meaning we go 36^8 or roughly a 1 in ~2.82 trillion chance. My isnt math fun. :)

If you beat Mega Satan to unlock Apollyon, then unlock Tainted Apollyon and beat the Beast with him, you'll unlock Echo Chamber. You could theoretically do this in one run if you get incredibly lucky with R Key and Clicker. Echo Chamber 'remembers' every card you've used since picking it up, and re-uses all of them at once whenever you use any card. So if you use it with ? Card and Schoolbag/R Key/Clicker, you effectively get to reset your run *and* switch characters for free whenever you see a card, since it'll give you infinite ? Card reuses. I'm pretty sure you could technically use that combo to not only unlock every other character in the game, but also complete every mark for every character on the same run. And like I said, this could potentially even be your very first run, assuming luck is in your favour to an impossible degree.

Also, you can get bone hearts easily by spawning any item in a secret room with Tainted Cain. The drops depends on the secret room tho, per example, if you're in that super secret room where it spawns a lot of hearts, the items will drop a lot of hearts. Though, regular secret rooms drop bone hearts. I used this with the Alabaster Box exploit to get Rock Bottom.

While the odds are far less likely, there is another possible way to get a greed mode thing in play, that doesn't end the run, because unlocking TMTRAINER would kill the run because killing the beast does. The corrupted data achievement also causes secret room and error room items to have a chance to be glitched as if under the effect of TMTRAINER. Corrupted Data is unlocked by beating Delirium with Tainted Eden, which doesn't end the run.

Hey i am not sure if they have changed it but once you beat mother in corpse 2 and use R key it makes it so that dad's note doesn't appears

Have you tried using The Eraser on an egg that you've thrown at a wall? EDIT: If Death Certificate wasn't already a nightmare to get on a NORMAL save and didn't ALREADY require every character be unlocked anyways, it would've been super helpful. Just imagine the possibilities.

I've had secret rooms that have had the greed donation machine in it. That might help unlock keeper

Can't you unlock tainted Lilith and Keeper without having them unlocked using Clicker? On one of my very first Repentance runs, I found Clicker and got to finish with Blue Baby before unlocking It Lives

whats the minimum% of the game you can do to unlock all endings? like, all endings in the stats menu, but as little achievements as possible

If ultra greed can spawn From TMTrainer, that means Liliith can be unlocked (assuming the game makes it so you completed a mark) So if keeper and Lilith can both get unlocked, all 34 characters can theoretically be unlocked in your very first run. It's just an assumption. It needs testing and time. But if possible you can unlock all of them. I don't know if Ultra Greed can spawn from TMTrainer. But what i'm sure about is that the greed donation machine can be spawned from it.

I'm actually pretty sure that using R Key during the Ascent just puts you at Basement 1 Ascent, instead of Basement 1 Descent. Not sure, but it's what I heard from a friend and on the wiki.

I thought clicker could only turn non-tainted characters into non-tainted characters tho? Or are you using multiplayer to change into tainted characters?

Victory lap resets timer and r key enables unlocks on victory lap, so you could do this to unlock forgotten without needing tainted cain

You'd get the Tainted Cain unlock by Clicker changing Isaac into Cain, but even after you unlock a Tainted character the Clicker will only allow Tainted characters to switch into other Tainted characters and non-tainteds to non-tainteds. Would one of the other players be Tainted Cain?

Idk if you addressed this but you can’t clicker from a non tainted character to a tainted character or vice versa

You could also craft the D1 then duplicate bone hearts (with a battery familiar or similar) to speed it up a little.

Did you actually try the run with the debug consol ? Just to give you items that you unlocked but that would just take too much time to find, just to see if it is techically possible ? (For example, giving yourself mom's shovel once you unlocked the spindown dice, since the item is the key to get the shovel)

once mod support gets re introduced i would love to see a 34/34 tas run of this (if any modder can modify the effects of tmtrainer items to spawn what you need)

While held, removes the twenty-minute time limit on the Boss Rush door. this is what it says on the wiki about the broken shovel... so you can get forgotten without the spindown dice

BTW just so you know, you can get bone hearts from black sacks even if you haven't unlocked bone hearts.

Wait, the clicker cannot turn you from a normal character into a tainted character! It's impossible to turn into tainted Cain, Isaac or Eden, right? Is there some item in Repentance that can turn you into someone tainted? Like Lazarus Rags or Ankh? If yes, we can use the clicker after this item.
