Mike, I am hoping you will be able to help me out. My channel is an apologetics channel, but it has some side videos, and testimonies. I think I had 11 or 12 subs and not many more views. Then I put up a video Message to Atheists and within 24 hours I had 40 views and the comments continue to come in. Sometimes I feel like I've bitten off more than I can chew, but other times I feel like even though they don't agree with me the truth is going out and others are watching. I'm having trouble with my VP so I'll be working on that. Thanks for taking the time out and helping us trying to find our place on RU-vid. God bless.

Hey Mike, Probably not the most appropriate place to put this, but I'm viewing it as a mirroring of the passage in the Word where the people who were seeking a miracle from Jesus, because they couldn't get into the crowded house, broke through the ceiling and lowered their friend to Jesus! Your other channel is the crowded room, and maybe this channel is the roof?..(However if you've already addressed this as unacceptable, I do understand). That said, if you find it in your heart to answer this question that I've had for years (I have many but this one has been around the longest) I would be very very grateful. In Mark 2, Jesus and his disciples picked heads of grain and ate them, and the pharisees pointed out this was breaking the Sabbath. Jesus then referenced David and said "The sabbath was made for man not man for the sabbath" suggesting that the pharisees were far too uptight about the Sabbath. In the Old Testament however (not sure the exact verse) a man who was collecting sticks on the sabbath was stoned at God's direct behest. How is there a continuity there and how can we reconcile these two seemingly different positions from God/Jesus.

Mike, I'm just now seeing this channel! Been watching you for years. My channel is struggling to take off, I love making videos but I think I don't have a great value proposition because I want the channel to encorporate too many different things. I'm into business, diy construction, performance automotive, engineering, and applying biblical principles to all of those. I also don't want my channel to be "christian" by name but by principle, in other words, a nonbelievers comes to my channel and learns some skill or principle and is then led to think, hmm this guy is living out of scripture and its good advice, maybe I'll check out the Bible. So a 'lead by example' kinda channel. Any advice you have on how to encorporate these together? Also, will you make more videos on this channel when your woman in ministry series is over? Great series by the way!

Views are actually more important than subs...better to have a channel with 500 subs with a ton of active subs than 1000 subs who don't watch anything. People starting out their channels often think the sub number is uber important but it is really secondary...and also, if people watch enough of your content (views) they will most likely sub anyway. So chase views over subs.

How would you write a proposition that applies to two diametrically opposed groups? Our channel bridges the gap between Mormonism and Christianity- teaching Mormons the Biblical Gospel, while also decoding Mormonism for Christians who want to evangelize to their LDS brothers and sisters. If I make a "you" statement, it will only apply to one of the two groups. 🤔 EDIT: What about "helping you on your journey from the temple to the cross"?

VP Hi Mike (and everyone else)! I need help brain storming this. Basically I want to play RPG games and give my Christian perspective on the story's and just generally enjoy talking with young Christians like me who feel like every entertainment RU-vidr is an atheist and that they can't talk like a Christian without being mocked or miss understood. I'm not trying to convince anyone to follow Jesus but instead focus on hanging out with people that already do or are starting on that path. Q: I’m a local representative for Child Evangelism Fellowship in Ireland and we oversee 30 Good News Clubs within our county; some in homes, schools and churches. Due to lockdown all but 2 have closed for a season due to Covid regulations. Therefore in response to this we set up our RU-vid channel “CEF County Armagh” to look a little bit like club so we didn’t lose contact with all those children. It’s was easier to get children to come to the actual clubs rather than watch on RU-vid. Would your advice be to keep going in the same pattern that we started, a familiar looking club OR should we rethink our approach? It actually seems quite difficult to add a value proposition to something already running; but it’s got me thinking.

Burning question: How can I take a channel idea like teaching people languages (like basic Spanish and basic Japanese) and use it also for the glory of God? How can channels whose content is based on the content and not the person be used for the Kingdom of God? I have some corny ideas, but I'm wondering what your thoughts are.
