Do we want to extend from the spine in the golf swing? YES. Can too much extension be bad? YES. Can we test a golfer's ability to extend? YES. Dr. Rose and Dave Phillips explain during our latest TPI LIVE.
After 40 years of playing golf, I'm just learning about extension in the backswing. I might have thought I knew about it before, but no. After learning, I'm wondering if I'm now overextending. The last thing I want now is to screw up is my back. I just think of Freddie and Tiger and their back issues. I remember when Tiger came on the scene and Sam Snead said that he couldn't see how Tiger would not end up with a bad back. How right he was.
Very Nice video demonstrating left sidebend/extension. Too bad you didn't demonstrate how to control the "clubface/arms/wrists, etc" while rotating/sidebending/extending.
@@RobertJohanssonRBImGuy to [sic] as in "too" or "also?" If so, the implication being that MyTPI has it wrong in addition to Andy & Mike? How are you proposing it be done?
Can we stop saying "best players in the world” a lot of the best players have sacrificed and destroyed their backs because they don’t do this. So many tour players have so much side bend it’s an accident waiting to happen.
