In this video we review the Howa Hera H7, a rifle designed for the varminting long range hunters.
In a nutshell the Howa Hera H7, is just one of Howa's heavy barreled actions tossed in a Hera h7 Stock/chassis really just diversifying their factory options.
whats nice is with Howa is if this chassis isnt right for you, its not a problem because you can buy a bare barelled action on its own and sepperately buy you preffered chassis.

being one of the most accurate factory rifles to be tested on the channel. this rifle wasnt any different, it performed with a slghtly higher avergae group bot the ammo that it did like performed excellently.
Is the Howa Hera h7 a good option? if this stock is right for you.
at this price there arent a ton of long range options

The Hera Arms H7 Chassis is a modern and easy-to-use stock system for the Howa (short action) system. Made of fiberglass-reinforced polymer, aluminum V-block and aluminum forestock, this stock system comes with two spacers, a polymer cheek piece support and an AICS-compatible ,5 round magazine. Enjoyed the video but one correction. The Ruger American and Tikka T3X rifles have a 70° bolt throw rather than 60° that was stated in this review. The CZ 600 rifles have a 60° bolt throw as do some others. The first thing I noticed at the very start of your review was how close the bolt handle was to the scope. I really like my CZ 600 Alpha rifles for their 60° bolt throw. smooth action, good precision, adjustable and crisp trigger, and low prices especially after $100 rebate they offer for the 2nd half of 2023. The trigger can be adjusted below 2lbs. The polymer stocks and non-user replaceable barrels are the only big negatives but they do offer a lifetime transferable warranty now on their pistol and rifle barrels.

Great review ....you can see how manufacturers are now making their rifles look similar to full custom versions . ..for the ones who cant wait or find someone to build one for them. Obviously....they dont want you to adjust the trigger you wouldn't nee to buy another one then. Im sure it will adjust nicely with the glue removed as i wouldn't be happy with car door handle of that weight 😂 Its handsome looking rifle abd i think with some home loading would surprise 👍🏻👍🏻

Whack an EC tuner brake on that sucker and she'll tighten them groups right up, ive just installed the jard 8oz triggercand shot a match and i can very highly recommend 👌

Love the videos keep them coming! I see brownells has the howa barreled action 1500 carbon fiber barrel in 6.5 creedmoor ..any chance you could review that?

They are all the same. Brownells just sells the barreled action so you can choose your chassis. Drop it in a KRG or MDT, For less than 1k. Add in a Arken, discovery, or Athlon scope and you have a custom set-up for less than 1.5k. Take advantage of sales and you can add a break and still keep it under 1.5k. Howa's are proven tack drivers, don't get the respect because its made in Japan. Look at the European shooter they all shoot Howa's.

I bought this chassis 1,5 years back and it ended up in the closet, I still wondering what Hera Arms did with this design as they build quite good ARs.

What is a specific detail in being match scope rings from nonmatch rings?

Match rings are made identically to one another. The tolerances are as near perfection as possible. Non mathc rings aren't always perfectly aligned and occasionally will let the scope slide in the rings.

Idk I watch these reviews and kinda worries me about these rifle being I buy several sub 800$ rifle without nice chassis and get way better groups all around over the cheap ammo I’d say an average 100 yard group through any of my cheaper rifles is less than 3/4 of an inch so idk this just makes me wonder if it shooters different skill or these rifles are really grouping that bad

How would this compare to something like a B14 HMR in 6.5. Same price range, style of rifle the HMR is hard to beat. Always heard good things about Howa, just never owned one

I'd say Bergara. It's going to work with the Rem 700 aftermarket.

As an owner of Bergara rifle in H7 stock, I don't recommend it. The good: With right ammo it is a 0,5 MOa rifle. It has a varmint Bergara barrel. The problem is cheap plastic stock. Which falls apart after around 300 shots. I had mine replaced. The new one is a bit better, with more metal insert but the screws still get loose after a 100 shots or so. Yes I did retighten them with Loctite. Just get another stock.

I was tempted to buy it for months, untill I did some calculations and realised how expensive 308 is in high volume of fire. For the same price I can upgrade my three liner gun (MosinNagant) with a bull match McGowel barrel for 500$ (barrrel) and 400$ gunsmith install, leftover for drill/tap scope mount. Have 55¢ surplus ammo shoot 1MOA for a fraction of the price. I have a Howa 1500 in 7.62x39 and is a fun shooter with the usual corrosive ammo. However even with rigurous cleaning, it will look worse in 2 years than a 1952 SKS having shot twice as many rounds with laughable cleaning. All due to chrome lined barrel. If we had access to more 308 chinese spam can ammo, I think this rifle would be perfect for a budget shooter. Im speaking from a high volume of fire shooter's perspective, including multiple people on one gum event. Heavy barrel is a minimum in such cases, thanfully most Howas are heavy barreled rifles. What trully amazing is that you still have your issued mortar gloves, those go missing in months of issue.

It's almost a shame these rifles get reviewed with short OAL factory ammo with half grain powder variances (if not more). If a rifle is shooting 1" groups with that junk I would be willing to bet I can easily load it to shoot half that. But I understand the need to do so.

Good example of the rifles being weatherby vangaurd Remington 700 savage axis Steven’s all those are below 800$ buy a good margin and all hold sub moa groups with random cheap ammo this being my experience just makes me not want to buy these new “precision “ rifles

Actually that's incorrect. Even a 2 shot group has meaning. If 2 shots are 2" apart you would instantly know that it doesn't like that ammo. I only do more than 3 if all 3 are below 1" I keep going until it opens up more than 1"
