Great video - I was able to replace the keyboard on my HP Envy laptop using the instructions provided as a step-by-step guide. One thing I found was that after twisting off the plastic "posts" or "rudders" I think he calls them that hold the keyboard assembly in place. It was easier to sand them flush rather than using a knife.
They should* fit right back up into the holes on the new keyboad... and line up with the holes on the back plate.. no need to completely take em off. Probably more useful as locator pegs. but yes, a quick touch with a dremel shouldn't take but a second to get rid of them.
Thanks for the video! But where's the CMOS Battery? I have the same laptop and i keep getting NO CMOS BATTERY error on bootup and i can't see any CMOS Batteries in your motherboard as well, do you know where the CMOS Battery is located? Thanks in advance.
Hey!!! Thank you for the video. I wanted to know that was it necessary to remove all the rudders or plastics which were holding the keyboard assembly in place?? I have seen another video in which the guy just skimmed the rudders from the top and melted them later on for supporting the keyboard. Dont you think that by removing all of the rudders the new keyboard assembly would just sink in the chasis/frame?? Thank you in advance for any help you may provide!!!!
@@TechstoreCoIn Thank you for your response. One more thing, after removing all the rudders, do we have to use an electrical tape to keep the keyboard even?? Or is there any other way to give support to the keyboard? Thank you in advance!!!
One thing common you know urdu very well. I have just received 15.6" hp envy from my company but its very delicate. Highly impressed 👏 from your skills.
great video. where to buy keyboard replacement? have laptop where g,h,backspace, num pad 8 and back lighting no longer works. used to be intermittent. now useless. such a bad product!
Thank you for the great video! Where can I purchase the 1) the entire touchpad and 2) Just the keyboard and backlight? Also, how can I confirm I'm getting the correct parts for my version of the HP Envy?
good luck, HP had more models of the alleged same model units than Heinkel had versions of fighter planes in WW2, and the constant tinkering and changes helped lose them the war!!!

Can I take every thing out of my HP Envy X-360 M6 convertible PC model# m6-aq10 3DX completely and put it in older version the HP Envy model #15t-k100, (possibly taking as little of the computer apart as possible, unplug unscrew🤞) I broke my screen and the power cord no longer can plug-in because the power adapter inside has this plastic casing around some pins which has broken off and I don't know where it went. I do have an older case for the HP Envy which is the model I told you & I'm just too broke right now to do anything else is it even possible? is it possible to make it fit? I am a complete newbie but follow directions well... please maybe make a video?
For the Envy x360 15m-bq121dx, fail to startup, blank screen, Caps Lock light flashes 3 Slow, 5 Fast, what would be the suitable repair/replacement to get it working??
great video. can you help me? where can i get the keyboard of my laptop ie HP ENVY X360- 15-BP1XX model? if you can then it will be great helpful to me.
can you just replace the key covers of the keyboard, without taking everything off? I have a keyboard in german and would like to switch it to english.
One question, u destroyed the plastic dots which fix the keyboard on the frame. When u replaced the new keyboard, why u did not fix the keyboard on the frame with anything? No need to do it?
