Thank you very much. Did it for about 20 minutes, just left it soak in hot water. Now working perfectly. There's a lot of rubbish on RU-vid but you have got to seek out the good ones.

Incredible!! I only did the hot water bath, refilled some ink and swiped it over a wet paper towel until the color came out evenly (as instructed in another video) - and the printer started printing again!!! Thank you, we almost tossed our 2540 deskjet out the window. Now it's back to fully working again.

Omg you absolutely saved me!! Tried all the printer head cleaning options over and over but nothing worked until this!! I just did hit water in a bowl and soaked the head in for a few minutes, wiped with a gentle cloth and you beauty!!! Thanks mate!

Nice one dude, i needed to print one paper and the bloody ink dried up on me. Tried your trick and it worked. I dipped it in boiling water for a few minutes and kept reheating water and doing it over and over. Thanks man

I placed mine in a inch of boiling water for a couple of minutes, I dried it off and put it in the printer and it didn't work, next day I tried the printer and it was working perfect, hope this helps

Try a warm damp paper towel first. Just put the printer head on the paper towel and drag down. That usually gets things moving with less fuss. Good vid but just for those that maybe can’t do all of those steps. :)

It worked, but my ink was pretty much full (used to print 2 text pages) and now it shows almost empty D: hope it's just a visual glitch... Well, at least it prints perfectly now :)

this didn't work for my hp302 ink cartridge so i opened it removed the foam and the ink then i put some hot water in and puffed it out applying pressure with my mouth to get the water through the printheads and I put the foam back closed with glue and filled with ink and everything works perfectly now

I don't recommend trying this. I first tried just getting the ink cartridge wet and it did not fix the problem. I then tried this method and it made it so my printer doesn't even recognize that an ink cartridge is present. It's not telling me there is no ink, it can't communicate with the cartridge at all. Now I can't even print in color even though that cartidge is working because the printer won't work if I don't have both cartridges there.
