Hey RC fam! 🚗🤘 Let’s talk about that brushless conversion gone sideways. So, HPI-yeah, they got me too. They’re all like, “Metal gearing, folks!” But guess what? Sneaky move-they slipped in a plastic diff! 😒 Like, seriously, what’s the deal? Metal here, plastic there!
Learn from my mistake. If you’re eyeing that HPI Jumpshot for a starter ride and planning a brushless upgrade, go for the Flux version instead. Trust me, it’ll save you some MONEY. 💰

Nice conversion, shame the diff gears did not hold out. Normally the diff gears do not work as hard, I thought they might have held out.

The ring diff give out, I'm not sure why they put metal idle gears and plastic ring diff. Turned out I'm not the only one there are other channel that have the same issue. Anyhow that's the joy of learning, hopefully others learn from my mistake. Thanks for watching Mal, much appreciated.

Yep, I'm sure it's not much saving for HPI to put the same gear as flux version and surely it will make their customers happy. Thanks for watching, appreciated🙏🏼

If you want to go faster and doesn't have a proper ESC and brushless motor, it's almost cheaper to buy just a flux version to add to the collection. The flux on 2s is already a beast and on 3s its just insane. And for a beginner I would still recommend starting with the brushed. And when you have the hang on it, just buy the flux and keep the brushed for the days it doesn't have to go really fast.
