The term Untameable really covers this caste, all Olive bloods seem to refuse to be controlled or to be pushed to do things they don't want as a part of their nature. To the point that I', surprised they haven't all been culled considering their inherent refusal to just fall in line.

A good video about some great girls and nbs. I really hope Boldir is as key to Joey and Xefros's quest as she is to Reader's. On the subject of Polypa, I would say that of our two canonical Thieves, one of them is *also* the way she is as a mask covering childhood trauma. The difference between Polypa and Vriska is that Vriska became her mask almost entirely, while Polypa maintains a noticeable degree of self-awareness. Also Polypa is Batman and Vriska is that guy you keep expecting to get banned from your D&D group yet somehow never is.

Nice analysis as always! I never expected Boldir to be a Seer as I've seen the fandom hc her as a Muse, but either one could work!

Great video! I really enjoy these breakdowns. I think you're very right about Polypa, although I don't entirely agree with your interpretation of her. As I've seen her and understand classes and aspects, she just doesn't feel like a rogue or a thief. It's difficult to deny that she has two big aspects to her personality, and both could be seen as respectively active, or passive. But she is hardly seen "stealing" anything from anyone. A case could be made for their lives, but unlike Konyyl it's not directly shown that she's a thief. She is pretty roguish, living on the fringes of society, and being very resourceful. But this being said, she's also seen protecting her only link to that society, Tegiri, from her harsher side. He doesn't know that she's a killer, and in that sense only shows her more caring side to him and the protag. In a way I think that instead of a thief, which is very self-centered, she might be something akin to a Maid. Deviating from the definitions you've given of classes, a Maid can also be seen as a protective figure, someone who takes care of something. She clearly protects herself from the world by doing the job she does, but she protects her friends from harm as well. And being breathbound, it could be interpreted in a lot of ways. Breath is air, and funnily enough fire needs air to survive. The very thing that destroyed her life could be mirrored to be what she uses to protect herself or others. The act of getting rid of her disguise via a fire-dumpster can be kind of stretched into saying that she protected her identity from being found out, via the use of breath. Either way, thanks a bunch for your amazing work, as always!

I find it really cool that there's a Seer of Heart, it kinda drives home that even if you are the same class that doesn't mean you'll be the same. One of my bros is a Seer of Heart, the dude is nothing like Boldir! And he's a True Leo, he's nothing like Nepeta either! Crazy!

Hi, OD. I think something went wrong when you were editing or rendering the video. Your intro animation ("Hiveswap Lore") is mostly missing and only shows your logo and the subject matter. Otherwise, great video!

Personally I see Polypa as more of a Knight of Breath. Knights have a tendency to make masks for themselves that, while not completely fake, tend to shield their more sensitive sides. Also in Polypa's bad end, I think she reacts so harshly because she did secretly want to befriend and trust the reader but was subconsciously let down when things went bad.

Seeing these videos slowly approach the Cobaltbloods fills me with Anticipation.

The whole "roleplaying" thing adds an extra layer of confusion when it comes to the whole game of guessing what people's claspects would be. Long story short, I thought my mother was Mage of Time, but it seemed a little off. Then when I thought of roleplay, it occured to me that my mother may have been roleplaying her entire life or at least since I was born until very recently and that her true thing might be Page of Heart. How exactly do you tell when someone's roleplaying?

Have you considered that you could be completely wrong and Polypa could be a Knight or even Prince? EDIT: I especially point towards Knight, because as you said, she covers up her motive, to the extent of isolating herself from reality. Behaviour like this is common to literally every knight weve ever seen.

I cant help but feel like like judging/linking the whole blood castes to their respective homestuck trolls' classpect is a bit, wrong? Like to use this video specifically, each olive blood is an individual. To judge them on how close or how much they act like Nepeta's classpect seems quite weird. There is no "shadow of the rouge". There is only the shadow of the shitty deal troll society dealt them all against their will. To turn to the Disciple mention, she was JUST another olive blood whos only relevant (in character analysis not in lore) in relation to Nepeta since they are directly related. There was at one point an important olive troll who was a mage in classpect, it does not mean all who have a similar hue should be compared to them. I feel like for example, Charun should be judged and analyzed as only an "X of Rage" not an "X of Rage* (*deep inside they are actually a rouge of heart and also some mage stuff is in there to)". It feels like an angle that takes away from a character, youre looking for something that isnt there. When Hauntswitch comes out should all humans Dammek meets be compared to the beta kids' classpects? Are all middle class Americans under the "shadow of the heir" and all people who live on an island alone under the "shadow of the witch"?
