I'm a dude who likes to talk a lot about things he likes. Mostly Homestuck and Hiveswap at the moment, but we'll be branching out into other things quite soon. I upload every other Saturday, at 5PM EST. Hope you enjoy what I'm up to. Keep Rising.
We're doing merch now! Check out our pins and shirts here: www.keep-rising.org
I dont know what your up to these days, and I dont quite get what happened that made you leave. Whatever it was doesn’t matter all to much to me as long as it was the right decision for you. Im not really interested in finding out what happened, so I think I’ll just enjoy what was left here for us, thanks for making this video, I probably never would have found this story on my own.
On the topic of void and mind, the process of emptying the mind in order to perceive a wide variety of options mirrors the heart being an intense inner light that focuses one’s actions on a specific goal.
I'm still a bit concerned as how life is explained precisely and how it relates to me. I known that Life's thing is drive, growth, sustainability, and rule backing, but I'm not seeing how a Life played acts in this.
Ironically, some people try to act as the Sburb players (not just cosplay them) to avoid facing the reality that Homestuck is not meant to be realistic. (At least, I think they do. I hope they don't.)
Fun fact: one of the tracks for Homestuck (it's in album five) seems to serve as a prototype of the musical track used in DR chapter 1 when Ralsei is relating "The Legend". The track in question? "Lotus Land Story". And the track was _also_ made by Toby Fox himself. And given your aware of Greek Mythos, your mind probably just jumped to the good old "Land of the Lotus Eaters" story, from the Illiad/Odyssey. Seriously, I'm surprised nobody else has picked up on this and been talking about it. Not to mention, there's _another_ track by Toby in album five, simply called "Lotus", which serves as a baseline for one or two of the major leitmotifs we see scattered most commonly across Undertale. Dude's been working on stuff leading up to UT and DR for _years_ now.
That’s so cancer of him, he’s so unintentionally nurturing but It’s so sweet but in an abrasive way lmao Love the analysis of his role in Dave’s development and his perspective in their relationship!! As a former mod for a davekat blog, I appreciate ur video!!!
I got classpected as a Mage of Void once. A seer of void is close enough, so maybe I could parse some sort of identity from this video. With maybe a more active ideal to what I gather. This sorta... ended up being a recommendation to play friendsim for the actual character dissection huh?
Gamzee is like the neo of homestuck, but because there is no division between alien world and real world, he just accepts it as the new truth, carrying out his role in the world... Really fascinating stuff
With the tests from this channel I got the role “Muse of Hope”. This is fair. I help people maintain hope and have saved 2 lives in this way, getting them to maintain hope and not give up on life. Those who have hope will not give up on the idea of hope upon hearing these perspectives. The action of hope is in persistence and perseverance not in sharp moments (it is the opposite of doom in this way) without doom you have hope, without hope you have doom.
I love Vrisrezi so much i wasn't into homestuck for that long but Vriska x Terezi was one of my first homestuck ships something about it is comforting to me
it really is crazy how many layers there are to homsetuck writing. genuinely some of the most in depth characters ive ever seen in fiction, and thats why i love it so much.
Y'know I gotta admit, hearing how you explained the Rage aspect finally explains why I actually tend to refer to alot of my life as a "Play" more often than not. Between feeling the need to play the role of a Referee between friends or family members, taking on roles as needed to try and make the world work somehow, and even considering most of what I do an "Act" to keep the peace in my own life, it suddenly makes sense that, as a Mage of Rage, my aspect is meant to be about what you can make the world or yourself feel through your control of it. It's fascinating!
