This is very helpful! I want to change the battery and the back cover, do you recommend redo the adhesive? Also is the fingerprint sensor glued to the back cover?

Thank you. Ya it would be best to apply new adhesive (if your new back cover does not already come with pre installed adhesive). Also the finger print sensor is held on with adhesive to the back cover as well. You can heat it up and pry it off.

Yeah Jerry rig everything did a bend test and the adhesive came off looked pretty easy. I have the phone only reason I'm kinda worried. Is it good I'm the adhesive area

Its pretty solid as far as the adhesive goes, it doesn't come off easily if your worried for lets say it heating up and coming apart.

pwrdbykyank 有马达的都是后摄像头，马达就是外面那个银色的，你是不是问我摄像头里面有什么？？里面有IC 芯片，金线，Lens ，马达，IR片，等，这是在里面看不到的

How does the fingerprint reader come off the back glass. When replacing the back glass. No fingerprint reader comes with the new one. Is this a simple heat the adhesive as well?

yes its just held on with adhesive, you can heat it up and pry it off

Yes they sell it on ebay, check for HTC u12 back housing. If you need new adhesive look on ebay also for smartphone red tape. you can use that as a replacement.

I don't think it will bend easily, but it is a very slippery phone

possibly yes. If you re-seal with proper adhesive should help it keep the water resistance

for htc not sure where you can find genuine parts but I'd look on ebay or amazon. You can always try contacting HTC and see if they can send you a sim tray.

and again HTC missed to install a heatpipe and wireless charging. i do not use qi charging but I want a phone that does not thermal throttle. On my HTC 10 and also on the U11 thermal throttling was obviously an issue. Only my U Ultra runs without heating issues. Sadly also the U12 plus also suffers from thermal throttling. Adding the dim display and there you have all reasons i bought an S9 this year

You would need to order the parts for it, then watch the video to take it apart, and remove the battery, then heat the front up after the phone has been taken apart and then pry the screen off the midframe, then if need be (if the screen you bought doesn't have new adhesive) you would need to install new adhesive, reattach the screen and then re-assemble the phone as shown in the video.

Board you would need to probably find someone who parted their phone out or a phone which has a broken screen or other part that you can take the board out of. They don't usually just sell motherboards by themselves.

Where is the microphone? People are having a harder and harder time hearing me, over data and wifi apps. But if I use the microphone in my headphones or car they hear me fine.
