Mongolian throat singing sounds so primal and hypnotic and the 2 stringed instrument played with the bow is called a morin khuur and the strings are made of horse tail hair. Being a biker myself, I loved the Harley addition to the video, even though they were a bit out of place on the Mongolian tundra. 😂 Puff puff pass 🙌✌️

Traditionally the “strings” are made from the tail hairs of a horse (the player’s own horse to bind instrument to player), the thicker (or ‘male’ string has 150 hairs, the thinner (or ‘female’ string has 130 hairs. It’s normally played in a sitting position but the HU had theirs custom made so they can play while standing. The 3 stringed instrument that looks like a guitar is a Tovshuur or “Mongolian Lute”.
