What's gonna be different let's say he will take this fish lol... Nothing different from buying dead one from the store... U think this out 3D printer😂😂😂🤣
@@meejhgggg mate a fish this size takes years to grow & only mate when mature enough the bass that you buy in the shops are only small ones & taste better than the big ones for sure, it's always a buzz returning live fish back to the sea as part of the catch & realize program to help preserve the bass stocks in the sea.
Well done for putting it back, that’s potentially thousands of baby bass for next year. That’s why the breeders go back. Little uns for eating :) Stunning creature and on a whole mackerel. I gave up pike fishing for this and it’s well worth it. Pike just get damaged to easy.
Caught a bass about this size back in the 90s from Criccieth (N. Wales). There is a rock that sticks up from the sea bed about 80 yards out at low tide to the left of the castle. Never weighed the fish (put back) but looks nearly the same size.Haven't been back and not fit enough to do it now, but am sure some sizeable fish must still be there. Actually found the spot by snorkelling around the castle area and saw a number of smaller rocks on the sand/shingle seabed that were sheltering good fish. Strangely, hear very little about fishing in the Criccieth area. Greta video, big fan
Congratulations! what a fish! what I love is how fellow anglers always help out when a fish needs landing and the pure joy you had catching and releasing that epic bass
I was sitting down waiting for my chicken to cook on Vancouver island in Canada and thought as a bit of nostalgia I'd watch on you tube a bit of shore fishing in the UK which I left 30 years - came across your video - congratulations that's the fish of a lifetime to be caught from the shore and one we can all dream about.
Enjoyed watching that. I love how you realise its BIG and your face goes serious all of a sudden - Terrific catch and film. I jumped when i saw that rod tip move for the first time!
I use to fish off sure years ago but where our waters have been smashed by commercial fishing I gave up . And went to the lakes. Congratulations buddy and good skills and thanks for releasing it . Tight lines from South Coast UK 🇬🇧
We'll done John, Fantastic fish I felt your excitement, your a top bloke, excellent watching you releasing that fish nice to see such a wonderful creature spared .
Your heart thumping out of your chest! That's what i felt when I caught a 20+ cod. Had to sit down for ten minutes to recover. Great video! You'll probably not see one that size again, but memory will be with you forever. ☺☺☺☺
Hellow game keeper John that is a lovely sea bass John a well respected catch John it takes a lot of time to catch double figerd bass. Congratulations now you will definitely be addicted to catching double figerd bass bass get really fat I love to see a bass of that size even a 8 pound bass is a big bass to catch. What a Fish pal!! Now that just goes to prove how fantastic a venue Holyhead Breakwater is, nothing surprises me coming out of there... but that fish wow'd me mate, well done. What a catch. All the Best Tightlines. 🎣
Congratulations on that bass. . . And on the return . . You are a Prince among men, you'll never forget that as long as you live ( and neither will you're audience) watching you return it. . . TIGHT LINES mate . 🎣🎣
That is what u call a beautiful bar of silver mate very well done, I can only dream of fish like that my biggest is 3lb but I promised my wife's grandad ill chase that double figure bass for him and I plan too 🎣🎣🎣
A great fish and quickly landed. I prefer a 2lb schoolie on a lure with light tackle...well, I say that but I haven't had the experience of landing a double figure to compare with. Seriously though GJSS&F, well done and nicely released.
Superb bass and over the moon you released it back thats a stunner and deserves a long life once had a friend who cought a 40lb cod on a fishing trip from Whitby and he regrets keeping it i wished he returned it so good on you big ❤️
Respect for putting her back, do you have what the Americans call a slotter system where the bass is only keep able if it lands between 50 and 60cm? It's been introduced on the isle of man in the last 12 months. Also I've just worked out where theirs a couple of hotspots not more than a 5 minute drive from my front door and the bonus is I could get there early and dig bait it the same spot. , again fantastic fish, I'm yet to catch a bass or flatfish, I've never had any luck on the flatfish and I've targeted them using every method going, I once baited up n cast out for a m8 who had no interest and he reels in a 2lb plaice 2 minutes later I hooked one about a 4th the size and it dropped off as I was swinging it over the rails so I suppose I kinda have but I really want a definitive ✔ ✅ in my journal
Well done John, For catch in it, And especially putting it back, And not playing God, It's nice to see it go back, It gives me as much pleasure as catching them, Good man well-done, From Darren's Dad.
