Criminally overlooked it seems. He is just as good, if not more enagaging than many of the "new blues wunderkinds" popping up and enjoying their moment in the sunshine! With his hard work, amazing talent and otherworldy tone he should be headlining music festivals all over the world. And the icing on the cake is that he is a hell of a nice guy too! How bout a spot at this year's Crossroads and Byron Bay in Australia, for example. Philip is the real deal and it's high time that he had some more recognition, I believe.
One of the greatest!! His sound and energy and playing and feeling is just something that dosent come around too often . His last 2 songs at rockpalast is an example of that ❤
Love this man.His playing is just it.And he seems to be a real human being. He is my biggest inspiration right now.almost got the tone without Ceasar Diaz pedals.Pedal pawn, strymon,a good 808,a vox wah,and a killer fuzz.or two.He uses the line 6 green delay echoe for mild ambiance. JUST THE TONE WE HUNT FOR BABY.....RIP,JIMI AND STEVIE.
anybody ever notice that he never plays any actual melodies? Over the top bends and fast runs. But that's it. There's never any musical statements of any kind.
That’s what I am trying to tell these people watching this . He’s just getting his fingers loose . I don’t play well until I loosen up or by the 3rd or 4th song .
You can’t play that ? Cmon I’ve been playing everyday 3 to 5 hrs for 20 years and that is nothing . Sometimes I play all day . I have a disdain for people who say things like tasty licks ! What does that mean . Anything you want in life comes down to hard work or practice . How do you get to Carnegie Hall ? Cmon you’ve got two guesses , but you’re only going to need one !
@@PatLawrenceMusic Ah right, I've played one before, basically a slightly altered FF clone. I found a better take on the FF recently from Jam Pedals, the Fuzz Phrase.
