EDITED: A brief correction: the clip I shared later in the video was from Enna, not Millie. Sorry the brainrot from this situation has made some things meld together in my mind. But the point stands, what she is saying is ridiculous. Here is the link to my alt channel video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7RpmyX7Kpng.html Make sure to subscribe there as well since I upload extra videos there very regularly!!!
Rev on the tax issue it sounds like they may have been paying Japanese taxes and not the ID taxes and not explained that well enough and did not provide her with the information she needed to prove it to the ID government. If this is the case if she can get the tax information she should be able to reclaim some of the money if not all due to the tax treaty between ID and Japan. Lagle Mindset did a reaction to the video
I'm not seeing the ridiculousness of saying there's no point of getting upset over online haters and just moving on. Millie did defend the company after the 2% thing, and if she defended the company again, it would make sense for there to be backlash but I dont see how that applies to this clip of Enna actually taking an adult route which is surprising on RU-vid. ....This of course assumes we haven't gone all in the clique thing that wouldn't make sense because Pomu was in that pre Niji group and Ethyria was second only to Mika in getting severely underestimated in popularity by their own company
I watched Legal Mindset yesterday and I really feel like this is can be definitely the reason, I mean, Niji ID had super good management (conpared to whole Nijisanji), they have solid fanbase because they have so many programs that can be enjoyed by Indonesian, tho their superchat super low but they still have other donation (Saweria, streamlabs, etc) Niji really don't have any reason to merged Niji ID
This time it isn't just NijiEN that was involved in a scandal, but the entire company itself. Anycolor didn't hire a Indonesian accounting firm to help their ID talents with their tax resulting in them getting in trouble for Tax evasion.
@@KingOfYamimakaiand alot of Indonesian fans really angry about this. although they not very vocal rn but alot of them is really pissed with niji that why their 2D live in Singapore is a floop almost no one in SEAS like niji anymore even Millie fans in Philippines is really mad with her
I said it in Legal Mindset's comment section, I'll say it here as well: If you ever get in trouble with the IRS or another country's relevant tax authority, get into contact with them immediately of your own accord. Governments are more than happy to work with you to get what they want, and if you have proof that the wrongdoing was not malicious on your part, they make for a very powerful ally in the ensuing audits.
It would be absolutely hysterical if Niji was forced to pay up. They'd be paying more now than they would have if they just paid her taxes like they were supposed to.
Seriously, this. I've known people who were given a 'finders fee' that was a few per cent (single digit) of the fine that the tax office was able to whack the errant employer with, and in some cases that fine could be in in the six, seven, or eight digits, depending on the size of the company and the impact of the screwup. Being upfront with tax officials can be very, very helpful when you're innocent, and they appreciate your evidence particularly when they can benefit from it.
That's what happen with Mika, she after Niji did not help her, got help from her father friend, who happen to know a firm, which have an accountant that solved her misunderstanding with the government, she luckily got the penalty fee twice the taxes removed because of it.
Yeah, definitely. Esspecially as, when its you saying a company messed up, with a paper trail to prove it or at least be a strong indicator of it, theres a very good chance that theres several other people who have the exact same issue from the exact same company, so the IRS or equivalent is able to get all the taxes and fees in one Audit rather than in several Audits, saving a ton of hassle in the long run.

@@xenoemblem7The JP side also has its issues, not as bad as the EN side but it’s still chaos over there sometimes, an infamous example would be the Gundou Mirei controversy where she had to graduate because of a harmless baseball joke, Niji didn’t do anything to defend her and she instead got suspended before she left. There’s plenty of other controversies but the baseball drama is the one I have the most knowledge about.
@@xenoemblem7 Considering that at least one of the punches they've taken was handed down _from_ JP, (that somewhat infamous contract, which even if we give the benefit of the doubt as to it's legality in Japan was questionably legal anywhere else... and there's the possibility that this tax thing is also a "everywhere is Japan, right?" incident...) on top of the fact that, as others have said, all signs show that you couldn't fit a monomolecular knife between the two? Not really, no.
So that's how Kuro ended up in that tax trouble. It all makes sense now. He believed his employer was paying those taxes, while in reality they weren't.
No that's not what happened he's explained it quite thoroughly twice. As Mysta the company referred him to a tax accountant who screwed him over. They then referred him to somone else that had no clue what he was doing (common problem with Asians particularly younger ones is that they will never tell you they can't do it unless you emphatically tell them they have to tell you the truth at all times - it's all about saving face and they know you can't give them a bad review as that is defaation) - man the day the defamation laws get amended watch all hell break lose as thousands of lawsuit get filed for actual wrong doing.
Nijisanjis yacht continuing to sink is no longer a surprise. But dont let that distract you from the fact that Rev has 666k subs from moment of making this video
vshojo at this rate will just be the best EN Vtuber company for people with no other options, if they can't get in HoloEN. Niji is a landmine now for foreign talents. It's amazing how they (niji) reached almost the same top as Hololive just to realize they are actually falling every second.

They have all the equipment and a whole bunch of people that want to become VTubers so they have a lot of resources to fill those empty slots. Maybe they will fold and become another company like some of those scam companies do!
Keep in mind the things happening in this video are things that happened or were started 1-2 years ago. So it's always been happening, we just found out about it now. Niji basically set a bunch of time bombs way in advance and said "this is a future niji problem" and now it's all blowing up all together.
I think some other really important context for Michi's tax issue is that in Indonesia, according to her from the same video you showed, it is common practice for a company to take a cut and pay the taxes of an employee of theirs for them while having the employee file the documents. Niji took advantage of her home culture and good faith in order to screw her over.
it sounds like they may have been paying Japanese taxes and not the ID taxes and not explained that well enough and did not provide her with the information she needed to prove it to the ID government. @@kagato3Indonesia have japan-Indonesia no two taxes agreement. Which either paying japan or Indonesia taxes. Which michi live in indo so Japanese taxes make 0 sense
At this point, it wpuld be wiser perhaps to just make a Twatt saying you are taking some extended leave from streaming and collabs due to reasons (Make it subtly hint you bailing out in full) and the whatnots of NijiKuso PR methods. Lawyer up and just get the damn thing cut and leave. Don't make content, and don't be the one to start any legal suits, if Niji wants your work, force them to open lawsuit and bring them to your country, bonus if on US of Cucknada soil, they won't dare and just try to Zaion/Doki you.
@andrehashimoto8056 the problem with lawsuits against a big company is even though you would win, you won't. They have the money to drag it out till you can't carry on and settle to their terms.
@@darksinz56 It's also complicated by the international nature of the business. Suing a company in another country over an employment dispute usually means you need to hire lawyers in both countries.
@@andrehashimoto8056 The best thing to do is give notice properly as per the contract and walk away, no graduation. problem is a lot of these talents are going to stay there voluntarily. Aia wants to stay with Niji, as does Scarle, they don't want to leave no how much we want them to. When they finally hit the wall of unresponsiveness and denial as Quinn, Michi, Mata, Mint, so forth and so on, once they finallyhit that wall for themselves and they can't put up with it anymore, that's when they will leave. Loss of their community will only hasten it because why keep doing it if the money is drying up. Remember clout and money are the real reasons why these talents are corpo talents.
That extra L in Millie's name feels like a premonition for the future of Nijisanji. I wonder how Nijisisters would react if Hololive added an extra W to Gawr Gura.
I'm trying to figure out what form that might take, and how it might happen... Only half plausible answer I've got so far is "universe's most unreadable font"...
So, I'm trying to understand this. They said to her "We want to take 10% of what we're suppose to pay you to pay the taxes on you." But not HER taxes, but the taxes on her... For the company...
Not quite. The just labeled it "taxes" as a category without any details. I am 90% sure this is blatantly illegal, not a grey area or a loophole, as "taxes" on a paycheque or income statement almost universally means income tax withholdings on behalf of the employee/worker, and NOT taken to mean any of the company's tax burden. This is outright, straight up, unquestioningly illegal and Nijisanji from the start intended to burn ID branch and talents and get the hell out of dodge if anyone found out and took legal action. They don't set up overseas branches with the intention to invest and grow, overseas they operate like opportunistic criminals on the run.
Good call on removing the nijisanji "depression" booth from weebcon. When I see a battered woman in an abusive relationship it reminds me of the niji talents and I start to feel bad. A nijisanji booth would really bring down the mood in the room, like a booth full of pregnant chick's with black eyes
Firstly, Rev with that demonic sub count. Congrats! Secondly, Kurosanji has evolved from sinking yatch to world's first floating bonfire, because somehow, SOMEHOW, the flames just get hotter and bigger. At least it's a shinning beacon to everyone to just stay away.
@@synckar6380 there's nothing wrong with being too carefull, even if they're in JP branch. Especially in nijisanji, because of their shenanigans lately...
Three things. 1, you're at 666k subs lmao. 2, you somehow showed an enna clip while saying it was from millie near the end. 3, michi's situation also gets worse. She had so much debt that she literally couldn't afford to pay it at first, and only was able to thanks to her friend's dad who was a lawyer and helped her pro bono a bit and iirc let her crash at his house, plus he hooked her up with an accountant (who she wasn't even sure if she would be able to pay him) who managed to get all the interests taken off the payment. Even after that she was only left with 300 dollars to her name and nothing else, and had to *liquidate her health insurance for six months despite having some health issues.* She got lucky that she never fell ill during those six months, and that her therapist was nice and only charged her for her meds and not for the actual therapy sessions. It's almost as if niji decided driving people to "attempt" is too direct so they wanted to try having her die of an illness that she couldn't afford to cure due to their meddling.
Correction: She did fell ill at some point, but convince herself that she cannot afford medical bill, so she just tough it up, she even said that once she was wheezing hard.
This one case makes me think Niji is actually an Isekai'd KuroKusoKorp from a world perpetually stuck in First Industrial Revolution era society where all malpractices and abuses of workers are ramped up to over 9000. Perhaps that world was so disgusted of Niji they banned them from their worldz imagine that.
This, and the doki and Yuki situations should signal to anyone in the vtuber community that working for Kurosanji is not worth the risks, apply instead to Hololive or Vshojo, at least with them you'll be able to survive..
This is incompetence on a whole different level. If they screwed up her taxes, more than likely Niji-san has screwed up other talents' taxes. Every one of their talents (past and present) within the last five years should be self-auditing their tax records right now.
This isn't incompetence, this out right malicious and evil. An incompetent person makes mistakes and tries to fix it or doesn't even realize the mistake. Niji is clearly on purpose trying to screw people over with any means necessary.
@@ainzer2903 hope the nijisisters aplly on that audition and get into the niji. So they'll see it with their own eyes how screwed up niji is. But maybe they will be blind at first.
It would be quite funny if a NijiEN talent is streaming when the IRS suddenly comes barging in, force the talent to end the stream, Cease all the talents equipment to cover for the miss tax payment, and give the talents notice to pay the rest of a lean well be place on the house.
Yeah, down in Australia basically every employer large or small takes care of paying your taxes out of your pay. If one was ripping you off like this they’d be completely screwed. I’m surprised that they aren’t in massive trouble with the law in Indonesia for fraud.
My disappointment was never greater than seeing that Rev was just a regular looking guy and not an anime boy. Jokes aside, that does explain why I didn't see Niji at Weebcon this year.
Man, if I had a nickel for every former Kurosanji talent that would then join Vshojo whose taxes were absolutely fucked over by Kurosanji themselves I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but damn it's weird it happened twice. As far as we know.
Funny thing is, after his 3rd party confirmed that Niji won't be welcome at Weebcon anymore, False would re-upload the "I came to the wrong neighborhood" meme a few hours after he broke the story. Man is a certified gigachad.
The first story is the beginning death throes of the company. That was a very public and I have to wonder how the attempt to 3rd party False looked legally. Not as a suggestion for a lawsuit, because it would probably be, financially, moot. Just in terms of how future events might look toward the Niji as a potential risk. That first story is, I think, a lot worse for them than some might first consider.
Feel bad for Michi man. I can't help but imagine it's incompetent writing in her contract, courtesy of some intern at Niji, that led to such a financially dooming situation like that. Taxes are something you absolutely shouldn't stumble with when it comes to your employees, but then again their VTubers are technically CONTRACTORS...as if that's a viable legal loophole if anyone would actually take up this matter legally and really get down to brass tacks about it. Also, for the love of GOD Enna, if there's any PR advice to give: Silence is Golden. All you literally have to do is SHUSH.
Every time the yacht torpedoes itself, an angel gets his wings. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how an biblically accurate angel comes into existence.
It's very telling that most talents will loosely acknowledge being formerly signed with an agency, but the ex-Nijisanji girls are coming out with all but the exact name. Bridges weren't burned, they were demolished.
KuroSanji™️ trying the old “secret DMs in the middle of the night with vague threats.” Congratulations on starting your own countdown to when those messages get leaked. 🎩 🐍 no step on snek!🇺🇸🇭🇰
Yo Kurosanji forgot their name already bad in public and somehow they think they can threatening someone over a single joke lol I wonder how much stupid decision they will make in the future (Sorry if my english confusing)
I think all this time they only hid the fact that they're a black company. And this year us the time when all of the scandals are being leaked out to the world. The biggest trigger is selen afterall. And niji keep going down until now. Hope they will go bankrupt. Or at least they will dissolve the EN branch like how they did to IN, ID, and KR branch.
Im pretty sure it is very illegal to take money from someone and use it on something other than what they are told it is going towards, especially if you are a company telling a worker through a contract or any legal document. I am no lawyer though so do not take my advice seriously
The problem is that they were vague on saying we will do your taxes, they didn't specify which taxes it is. That's the reason Mika asked for everything when joining VShojo, because she learned her lesson.
@signumxmagnum still very scummy to say "for doing taxes" and take money from them without notifying you to which it gets counted towards. Even if she did suspect it went to the company and if it was for her, then if she filed taxes for herself, it would count as fraud. Could also be considered as a language problem like miscommunication, not clarifying enough or an error that can happen if it isn't their first language or being fluent in it.
@@mythicalskeleton1546 Ethically yes it's scummy, but legally they did not do anything wrong. The problem here is that there's no follow up on Niji side for Mika, like they were expecting her ( someone under 25 ) to already understood international tax.
The thing with Niji EN is that they are doing all these events to sell and get back their lost glory, however since Selen now Doki was doing ALL of the heavy lifting it is just ending up with terrible quality
Now that you mention it, I have noticed a MASSIVE drop in quality (particularly with concerts and events) ever since Selen left. I think she was the only talent that really, truly put fans and fan experience above all else.

If anybody wants to know how bad it is going downhill for Niji viewership just wants to strain very carefully from before all these incidents to now you will see a high decrease in the viewership in the chat by just seeing all those comments just take a minute for them all to load up it takes a minute because there ain't anybody in the f****** chat probably about 5 or 10 but that's about it
Wow that is very Mob like behaviour?! nijisanji: Ah Weebcon, I see you have some well known Japanese people coming to your event? it would undoubtedly be disappointing to your attendees, if there was some sort of delays to there arrival
Considering Nijisanji is hiring college graduates as their Vtuber managers for admin roles, its most likely due to incompetency. I mean the sloppy spell check on congratulations to "conglatulations" and a Vtuber's own name being mispelled already tell us a lot. Don't even get me started on the streamers being the one forced to apologise. The company probably started by cutting corners on important parts, like PR and on the legal side.
"Even if I didn't like somebody I wouldn't go out of my way to misrepresent everything they do" ~ says a girl who was posting on Twitter 'asking' Doki backhanded questions victim blaming her and was part of the clique that bullied her until she made an attempt, all the mean girl said in that clip could be translated to "I have literally zero argument against any of the criticism against me, so I'm gonna ignore and insult anyone who criticizes me."
