Everyone ignore the comment above mine and do not reply to it. They’re hopeless spammers, let’s not try to give them anything. Sr., that was the funniest part of the entire stream 😂
Breaks my heart seeing him demolish those ps5s. I've been saving up for a year to get one of those. Hard to buy one with 5 kids. But we're all still happy with the ps4
Really though! It sucks I’ve been dying to get one but I’m a student and can barely afford life lol. Those poor kids who thought they’d have a chance to win one and he’s just there destroying them.
Honestly, The Fact that Paradox was trying so hard to promote their stuff even when everybody in the chat was spamming 'scam' is just downright hilarious
@@beauonehunned now two, RU-vid really needs to either crack down on this or content creators need to just block these accounts (from my understanding, blocked accounts can’t comment on videos of users who blocked you), that or RU-vidrs are given the ability to block certain words or phrases from being posted on their videos, making it harder for bots to farm shit
fr you start to develop that sense of responsibility at 18 i feel like, when you are met with what adults call "real world problems" which is a term i hate but serves to make clear what i mean (work, uni etc. higher pressures in general)
As a 17 year old: I and any other teen would be able to have the mental capabilities to see what is and isn’t a scam. We are old enough to know better, accountability is really important, and I think apart of me feels that this fame at a young age has really gotten to his head to the point where he feels he doesn’t have to apologize or be held accountable for the bad this has caused or could have caused if any kids actually believed him. (Might edit this later to add on or fix my thoughts, hope you’re having a good day)
Yes, he knew. But he got offered 2 million to promote paradox. If you were in his position you would do the same. He's smart and knows the value of 2 million. If you don't accept that money then you're dumb.
Because speed’s audiences aren’t 5 yo babies they’re teenagers who have watched people like Mutahar call out these cryptoscams and are informed enough to see a scam when there is one. The fact that teens and pre teens are more mature and informed than Speed who is almost an adult is embarrassing

It’s so satisfying just to see a large group of people put their foot down and say “No”. Especially when they’re as young and impressionable as Speed’s audience. The kids are alright
I love that you and coffeezilla colaborated on this story. I actually saw his video first and he had a link to yours. Now I know you too. You are awesome. After FTX and all the fraudulent, stupid and illegal practices in Crypto, I am happy that us as a community can get together and call these A-Holes out. Thank you for an amazing video.
It blows my mind that any creators are still promoting crypto pump and dumps to kids at this point, but it’s been shown that streamers can get away with pretty much anything, so I guess it’ll just keep happening until someone actually faces legal ramifications
@@mannyheffley5481 Did you hear the audio where he thought he was muted? He knew exactly what he was doing. Don't give that little shit any ground. He KNEW.
I totally agree, kids and teenagers are still constantly learning so it's not weird for them to learn something new. Early to mid 20 year olds on the other hand, think they have learned everything and and this makes them more gullible. I'm 36 and my brother is 27 so he's 9 years younger he acted like he knew more at 22 than he does now. I also experienced it personally, sometime in my mid to late twenties I started realizing how much I DIDN'T know which is the first step to NOT being a know it all, and therefore you're less gullible because you realize there's probably more to it (whatever it is).
We all had sex when we were 15 or 16 years old. We all had several sexual partners before marriage. if he has sex with girls of his age that makes him more similar to an average person. Also, there is nothing wrong with having a lot of sexual partners before marriage. In order for behavior to be immoral it has to have negative effect on society. If everyone has a lot of sexual partners before marriage and uses contraceptives there are no unwanted pregnancies, no spreading of diseases, no negative effect on society.
@@miklyways I feel like every youtuber/streamer who promote crypto know it's a scam, but they just can't resist the money. Just look at Jake Tran, he made a video about crypto being a scam but in that same video he also promoted a crypto scam.
I don't agree that he is a kid. One year later and he is an adult especially in this country. A kid won't become an adult in one year. He should take responsibility from his actions but of course he won't do that when you have fame in a short period of time.
That's the thing though, Coffee's whole video on the subject was about how Speed knew it was a scam and promoted it anyway. The hot mic moment as well as the moment after that when he slipped and said "then it'll be obvious..." on camera were both strong clues that he knew exactly what was going on. His concern during the stream was about the negative reaction from chat, not the revelation that he was dealing with a scam. So yeah, he can try to apologize and act naive all he wants, but in reality he's no better than the Paul brothers or even Jay Manzini.
@@pigeonman4979 Doesn't make it any less disheartening how little these people value their money. And imo it's worse since thats a few thousand dollars worth of landfill e-waste.
And 11 months later nobody seems to care that he was not only promoting but actively involved in a predatory system designed to prey on his viewers the people that make him famous and is still one of the most popular streamers on any platform, the fact that people just decided unanimously to forget about this is crazy, people just don’t care about content creators actively taking advantage of the viewers that give them their careers, if this happened in 2016 like when syndicate and cargo lotto happened this guy would in a court hearing just like they were.
Sadly enough, he also knew what he was doing. People say he is 17 are stupid. There such thing as juvenile jail or justice system that deals with 17 year olds and younger who committed crimes. People are 17 are aware of their actions.
Friendly reminder that Speed's birthday is Jan 21. Meaning he's got about 2 more months to milk the "Im just a kid" excuse before he can't legally call himself a child anymore.
I can’t stand kids like Speed that want to act grown but play the ‘I’m a minor I don’t know any better’ card when they get called out. He 100% knew what he was doing.
Anyone asking to give the "kid" a break because he's 17..... if a 17 year old ran over your mother drunk driving wouldn't you want them charged for their crime? F*ck off 17 isn't an excuse, don't go into business if you can't be held to an adult standard.

I have no doubt he is aware. That guy is cringe but not an absolute idiot, though he would have us second guess that by accepting the sellout...I mean shoutout deal.
what's sad is most of the donations were directed to Speed and making sure that Speed knew it was a scam. that's the sickening part. he had been guilt tripping his fans the entire stream and it forced many of them to feel as though they should warn their favorite streamer who they felt was unaware about the scam taking place while he was completely aware and simply de-escalating the situation. a lot of them are young so oblivious to stuff like that, but it does show just how much Speed knee about whether it was a scam or not.
I hate when people excuse actions because someone is a minor Just because you’re 17 doesn’t mean you can’t be a shitty person. And scamming his chat and destroying a shit ton of ps5s is something a shitty person does
I do have to disagree - your brain only stops developing at 25. I was a completely different person at age 16-17 and I look back with so much shame. I think yes he made a mistake but he shouldn't be lynched for it - no matter how much you want to twist it and make him a villain he's literally just a teenager with a lot of money and not much guidance.
@@ares2380 you dont need guidance at that age. Youre not a toddler or an infant, you know what you're doing. He knew what he did and why he did that. He is guilty and he is a scammer.
@@ares2380nobody is saying he should be lynched, are you delusional? All people are saying is that he shouldn’t be excused. He did something wrong, and he should be held accountable
@Ares You are as much responsible for your actions at 17-18 as this guy is now. No healthy person with at least a mediocrum of formal education at that age is free of responsibility, or an Idiot at that - which you seem to argue, that these people are simply dumb because they are young. No, that's not it. They are dumb because they are thoughtless, because they have no awareness of their responsibility in society. This of course comes more easily with maturity - but most people are mature enough to condemn these disgusting actions, like supporting a scam. An ass is an ass, no matter what age.
He's just 17 he obviously didn't knew about it , and thinks everyone is nice person like him . Why would he ruin his reputation over some small amount???
Speed has used the "I'm a kid, I'll get better" card so many times that it's sad how many people still think he regrets the irresponsible things he's done.
Scams like these are so funny because they rely on as many as people keeping their eyes on it, being invested in it, but exactly that makes it more likely to be exposed
I've been wanting a PS5 for years and still can't get one at retail price. Even the GameStop deal at the stores near me are jacked up higher than the aggregate price of the individual components. This is just sick, man.
It gives me a little extra hope in the younger generation that even they were able to see through the Ponzi scheme. You’d think the audience who consumes Speed’s stuff that was specifically targeted wouldn’t but I was pleasantly surprised.
The youth is way better at spotting scams than they're given credit for. I mean, we have grandma and grandpa out here teaching us to be suspicious of everything and everyone in real life, but they would confidently give away their life savings when a kind stranger on the ol' information superhighway told them to.
Yeah he’s fans are pretty smart and Charlie said that a lot of people fell for fake Ronaldo in tweeter but that’s just cap there fans aren’t that dumb even tho there mainly kids to fall for that when it’s obvious it isn’t Ronaldo
Oh no he promoted something that his young fans cannot even invest in either way 😂😂why would this be considered scamming he literally just got a big bag …
It's because 90 percent of the people left in the world don't do anything about anything when someone fucks with there pond some say sheep some say guppies but ok there is more sharks in these waters than people try to show and some day they will all come around and save the people that are good souled while destroying those who seek benefits from ones loss
Bro robbed those PS5s from someone who wanted them during the Christmas gift season and also tried scamming his fans at the same time. What a great guy. >sweet Jesus these comments are a mess. Also, when I said "robbed," I mean he robbed a family the opportunity to buy them for their kids. Obviously he didn't literally steal them.
The sad thing about this is that Speed’s audience is mainly children, so they would be more likely to fall for any type of scams like this moving forward. And it’s completely irresponsible.
they need to hold the streamers/"influencers" who promote these obvious scams accountable, don't use the "he's still 17, he's young, he was goaded into it" excuse. He clearly knew what he went into
SHOWSPEED needs better management around him, there’s no way a RU-vidr his size should have a manager who lets this all slide and agrees to let speed promote scams like this.
