"I used to respect coffeezilla until he came for me" gives me the scammer equivalent to "and I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids!"
LMAO everyone knows Coffee only targets the guilty how stupid do you have to be to come on Charlie's channel and announce "hello people I'm a thief I can't be trusted"????
His manager really blundered through that lmao “You can’t publish fake news, it needs to be verified or it’s illegal” “Yes I’m trying verify it with you right now” *brain scrambles*
In what country is it illegal to publish fake news? It's done all the time and at most they're forced to publish a retraction (usually buried and well after the point anyone would notice).
I really dont get it. Like these guys get so good money from videos and ads they put in their podcasts ect like why do you need to scam anyone at that point. Greedy f***er
100% there are whole government units investigating it. But this being a new technology, I'm guessing charges might come years from now once they're sure they'll be able to lock them up with no slip ups.
We must all learn our lessons by now All “influencers” are scammers. Liver King, Logan Paul, etc. Once people become too famous and influential, they decide to make profit off of their fans
Logan Paul went to the suicide forest in search of a dead person, filmed that dead person, uploaded the video containing the dead person to RU-vid, plugged his merch in the description, and collected the revenue. You can take as much time off as you want, but that level of greed will never go away
This is what everyone who said he had a redemption arc fails to realise. Only a truly depraved piece of shit would do this and there's literally no coming back from exploiting a dead person and then plugging your own products at the end of it.
You'd be shocked how many people will shit on you for "not moving on" from that - as if all he did was sell some merch slightly higher than the average. You don't fake disrespect like that. I will never be OK with that little snot for that fact alone, any further scams from him are just icing on the cake.
This. Everyone who ever forgave him is more gullible than a 5 year old. Nobody makes a “lapse in judgment” by filming a suicide victim that they sought out-that never happens.
He did not just filmed the body, but he actually laughed at the person that committed suicide and approached it disrespectfully proceeded to upload it on RU-vid, the guy doesn't deserve to have a second chance if he laughs at a dead person hanging from their neck
Logan's response really proves he is a huge PoS. He's like "yeah, I'll give you a response, but only for views". I knew he wasn't a changed guy AT ALL and it was cringe listening to people he was "redeemed" whatsoever.
Tbh i also thought he changed, but the bar was set outrageously low. I never thought he was an angel, but i at least liked that he tried to reconcile with audiences in a way that most other creators don’t
@@super_sentai9998 idk where he has a vlog somewhere where they found out his prefrontal cortex is super damaged so he has like no self control, hindsight, or empathy lol... guy is the worst
@@hannalovesham I just read an article dated in 2019. The doctor who scanned him had said, in regard to the ksi match, that he needs to protect his brain because it can't tolerate a lot more injury. I wonder if he ever got rehabilitated properly before his WWE career. It seems like it may be a bad move for him down the line 😕
I never saw him have a redemption arc. Deep down I knew he was still a selfish piece of garbage that was faking his change and he managed to manipulate a lot of people with that technique. Didn't get through me though.
And i keep wondering how. Plenty of youtubers got their carreer ruined by doing less bad things than he has yet he's just chilling afterwards for some reason
@@mikevos4460 it's because he's a tall, privileged, blonde, white dude and a whole bunch of ignorant, unknowledgeable, and impressionable white kids follow him at his every whim. It's similar to Elon Musk and Trump, these people really just have huge cults following them.
That interview with Jeff was basically just him trying to intimidate Stephen into not reporting on this whole thing. He's moronic, yes, but that was what he was trying to do. He failed, of course, but he thought he could preemptively threaten legal action to stop this whole thing from being reported on. Nuts to him on that.
Jeff: [Intimidating Presence] "You need to verify your claims, otherwise, you can get into legal trouble" Coffeezilla: [Failed] "I know, that why I'm trying to verify the allegations with your help" Jeff: furiously trying to quickload
We are too used to treating these as a get-your-popcorn influencer drama. But this is actual fraud, which is an actual crime, which should have actual legal consequences.
I really want there to be a day where there's more and more repercussions for these crimes, Scam Bankman Freid hopefully will start a precedent, and show a start into active law enforcement being involved
@@bigboi2334 everyone was saying the same about SBF and FTX but here we are, sailing for a trial date. If Logan pissed off enough rich people with his scam, then he is going to be under the microscope as well. Just remember the Justice Department slowboats everything so that when they pull the trigger, there are no misfires.
I would love for all these “influencers”, whom only gained their fame/wealth from their kid audience and scams, to be held accountable and loose everything. But the system is rigged so I doubt it…
Yeah and then all the politicians and billionares will go to jail and everything will be alright in the world. The wealthy, and this includes these dumb influencers, control the law, so no repercussions will come, ever.
I wouldn’t say the system is rigged, I would say the system is old. At least in the US, our government is primarily comprised of elderly politicians, none of whom had to deal with these forms of scams during their youth. I think once younger politicians begin the climb the legal and political ranks, this issue will begin to be resolved
I'm starting to genuinely worry for Coffee's safety. He has buried a lot of shady shysters over the last few years. One day he will call out a genuine nutter.
Hopefully Coffeezilla doesn't get his house firebombed like Jordies did. Journalism can be real dangerous when you don't follow everyone else's opinion.
Sorry for bothering you mr Paul, i'll be leaving now. Oh wait i almost forgot, just one more thing mr Paul, you say your game is play to earn yet you cant claim the money you make on it. *Credits roll*
Ever since Logan Paul in the Forest incident I’ve never taken him ever seriously and somehow he keeps on coming back and back so I guess some people still do unfortunately
No, I feel that. One of the top comments here is that he apparently went thru a „redemption arc“??? Mf, when 💀💀 Like, I‘m sorry but I have 0 sympathy for the ppl who fell for this lmao
Coffeezilla is the protagonist that we needed on RU-vid. Way too many frauds on here. I love Coffee, Charlie and Muta to bring a lot of this stuff to light.
ISHOWIMDEAD, this COMMENT changed my life. My entire view of everything that exists in this world, in fact, even in the entire universe. I can never look at anything I know the same way again. This stream represents emotions that most humans could never understand. But I can. Thanks to this stream I was awakened to many things previously considered unimaginable. Thank you for this exquisite stream, I will never forget this experience.....
I think Logan was just the meat puppet for the actual scammers. He prolly had the shallowest idea of how it worked but mostly just heard "YOU'LL MAKE MONEY IF YOU FRONT THIS FOR US" in the business meetings was prolly like "bro i really love your energy. lets do it bro. let get those bags [insert other stupid logan paul phrases he would say]"
@@jesusofsuburbia3675 As is the case with all influencers who try to profit off of their audiences. Once they get too famous and influential, they just start scamming
Hopefully the DOJ steps in. They have been targeting these scams the past year or so. This one seems like it would be high profile and good to get their message across that you scam in Bitcoin, you are going to face consequences.
@@Lukeroni123 meh ive seen crazy kpop teens legit bully influential people off of social media. Hell yall remember that maximillus?youtuber? His goons were a bunch of little kids yet they were so many and so annoying that everhone was talking about the guy until he finally got the boot
It still baffles me that people dumb enough to lose hundreds of thousands in these scams are smart enough to ever make that kind of money in the first place.
exactly, like if i was a developer the first thing I would make sure of when presented a project like this is ask for a contract, it would be so idiotic not to
It's explained in coffee's video. The reason why no contracts were made is because when the dev team asked to move from word of mouth to paper, Logan's team kept delaying.
To summarized Coffezilla's docu - The reason no contract is even possible to begin with is that one of their founding members were already screwing them in, and before Paul could even get a hold of it, the whole project already collapse (due to the fund 'stealing;). They were just trying to publicly saved face with the devs and all that to 'convince' the people the everything's still fine.
He really has become the boogie man for scammers. He's basically becoming a real life modern day super hero and it's awesome to watch. That Jeff guy's brain shorted out from fear when he heard who was on the phone
This series was incredibly well done. Not just the quality of the material, the due diligence in fact checking/request for comments, and top notch video editing. Dude deserves to get on a proper netflix documentary after this.
Yeah if you watch the other videos you see how blatantly they were planning to manipulate the market in addition to the scam game they were pushing. Very sociopathic
coffezilla: “Hey Jeff, I’m just calling to find out if what I heard about Jake Paul not paying his developers is true or not.” Jeff: “You’re not allowed to report news that isn’t true, so you need to find an actual reliable source that says what is true.” coffeezilla: “tha- that’s why I called you…?” Jeff: “I have no comment.”
Coffeezilla is a legend! He's genuinely the good guy taking down the bad guys, makes you feel better about humanity that he exists in these cynical times
Either Logan’s lawyer is the dork who has to believe his popular buddy wouldn’t screw him or they’re all so corrupt they just don’t want to be outed by each other. “Honor among thieves.” Actually, most likely just the high school dork who can’t call the cops for baking soda instead of coke.
21:29 it’s so obvious jeff was avoiding denying that they stole that code lmao. he doesn’t wanna say anything cuz if someone tries to say “u denied it tho” jeff can just say “i never said we didn’t steal anything, i also didn’t say we did.”
Yeah def an attempt at getting away without confirming nor denying but done in the most horrible way imaginable mf kept on waffling digging himself deeper, instead he should've done what every person with half a brain would say "I have no comment at the moment, that's all I'm gonna say to that good day" and hang up it's that easy you don't embarrass yourself with that or pull all the attention to you but this just makes it obvious that they're melting down behind the scenes lmaooo
@@charlesm.2604 Im sorry, did you just say work part-time for the thing Im getting the education for? If Im getting an IT/Computer Science degree I cant work a fucking IT job because I still dont know everything I need to know. McDonalds isnt going to give me fucking IT experience.
@@SnowMexicann I'm a software engineer, I can guarantee you can find alternate contracts where you work half time and study other half. It's legit part of the Cursus in this field, companies even pay for part of your tuitions through scholarships if you get your education like this. Especially in IT employers look for experience over theory. Besides that's not what employers refer to when it comes to "experience". They want to make sure that you can collaborate with a team, that you respect deadlines, that you have an understanding of work routines, etc... Which McDonald's would give you. Working a minimum wage job also shows dedication and discipline, it shows that you're willing to put in the efforts for your future as opposed to sitting on your ass cold emailing everyone reading through rejections one after the other and waiting to get a handout. It sucks that it's the case but unfortunately without nepotism that's how the world works.
@@charlesm.2604 wait, can u confirm if that's just your opinion, or if other employers will actually be happy you worked minimum wage unrelated jobs? i feel like you'd still be at the bottom of the barrel but maybe i'm wrong.
07:07 Precisely. I actually stopped the video there and had to come back to it the following day because I was not in the headspace to hear someone say they lost half a million AUD$ then chuckle.
Crazy how rich people can get and still not be satisfied and want to scam more. All that money on a safe investment but nope got to risk it for the biscuit
Funniest part of all of this is Logans reaction just dug him into a deeper hole. If he'd watched the entire series he'd have known that by the end of it Coffee almost paints him as either just an ignorant manager or an outright victim as well. Instead he had to go and make a circus out of it, which will inevitably lead coffeezilla to dig deeper, which will hopefully lead to some actual serious reprecussions and to set a precedent in court so crypto scams like this can finally start being punished properly.
In the last video he was given quite a bit of wiggle room what with his not selling his tokens and losing his money. Trying to fight Coffeezilla and say that he’s wrong is a stupid thing to do when he could just point to that and claim to be innocent in intentions while blaming everything on Jake. I hope he gets screwed over.
@@j.m7070 he can’t blame anything on jake. Sure logan didn’t sell. But he began the crytpo project to scam and make quick money. Even if the “game” worked it would’ve been a scam,
Imagine trusting someone you have never met. I would never trust Charlie on anything. I would have to fact-check the hell out of any tips this man gave me. And he is the one person on the internet I'd say I "trust"
Let’s be honest here With all the cancelling that has gone on over the past 5 years, it’s amazing that one or both of the Paul brothers haven’t ended up in jail with all the shady, weird and downright creepy shit they do on a daily basis
You don't end up in jail for 'shady, weird, creepy' shit; That's when you are demonstrated to have broken the law for a jailable offence. Nor is 'cancelling' = breaking the law or consequence of. People can be cancelled for perfectly legal actions that society feels strongly about and you can do weird, creepy, shady shit without breaking the law.
ive got a theory: literally the only thing that made anybody believe he had changed even a bit was him growing a beard the beard was a genius move on his part tbh
Give them a little time, the feds like to wait for people to dig their own grave to build bulletproof cases. The gears of law turn slowly. But they still turn.
When the government finds a way they can make money by regulated crypto just like the stock market and manipulate it for THEIR OWN gain rather than to save victims. Once the government steps in they will stop the scams, but also take your money.
hearing logan paul promote anything is like hearing a creepy man telling you he has candy in his van and puppies in his basement. just dont do it man, literally run
How he got forgiven in the first place after the whole Japan debacle is one of the greatest mysteries out there. Like seriously, What giant Goober. Edit: Holy macaroni, almost 2.5k likes for my comment?! That’s a first! Thanks everybody!
Yeah, he did his whole turn around, look at me, see how mature I am thing (at least I assume he did I only ever saw clips of him on the podcast in other peoples videos from them to time) and people move on or just never knew who he was to begin with. I never believed it though, he was such an ahole before and that never disappears he just finally decided to hide it from the camera.
kids tend to be incredibly stupid and develop stockholm syndrome for their favorite youtubers - you can basically scam them for as long as you want and they will always take the bait
Not to mention he made another video where he tasered a rat and did CPR on a fish barely a month after the suicide forest thing. This guy is just a massive blight, dont know why people still support him.
Whenever I hear someone say “X Paul brother has gotten better” I try my best to hold in a massive sigh. They became rich and successful way too young to properly develop a clear sense of principles or ethics
I think you're overcomplicating it, they're both just narcissistic pieces of shit and absolute scumbags. I literally can't think of anyone scummier and more intolerable than Logan.
Here is for all those people who said "Logan has changed, he is a good boy now" He still came out as egotistical even after his "redemption arc" and this just helped people see it clearly
This 3 part series was absolutely incredible. I think my favorite part is when Coffee talked to Logan's manager on the phone. True comedy entering my ears
Seeing people throw away hundreds of thousands of dollars away on crap like this when I'm struggling just to pay off a 100k student loan hurts my soul.
The confusing part in all this is how seemingly normal people have even just 10k+ to put into something like this. How some people have 100k+ just baffles me.
@@RobaMostarRoba lol never heard of best gore eh? Site gotore popular as more fked up videos came about, the govt shut it down a few years back now though but tht site was popping with users lol
The fact that anybody believed that someone who lacked that basic sense of empathy that would prevent most people from filming a dead person and profitting off them has some kind of conscience... I love to see people improve and learn from their mistakes, but that situation showed just how many shades of messed up he is, and it's not something that goes away after one apologizes and just moves on without any real consequences
The people investing are wannabe scammers themself. None of those bought to not sell in the hype. They all wanted in early to then make profit. I don’t feel bad for them
@@bruhmoment4188 not really, how many times has anyone gone back to what the source video or the person who made them? It is extremely rare for anyone to go to Coffeezilla channel when they can just wait for Charlie to publish his.
It occurs to me that Charlie is basically immune to the kind of internet drama that catches people. Like, he’s basically the medicine man in the social hierarchy of RU-vid; anyone starting beef with Charlie will literally have no allies. Fascinating.
If Logan Paul is going to talk about it publicly, that's great news. A few folks should reach out to him for interviews as well. This was how Sam Bankman Fried got arrested because he couldn't keep his mouth shut, to the chagrin of his lawyers. Hopefully he accidentally says something that incriminates himself and does the FBI's work for them.
SBF tried to make himself seem innocent and had no idea the US law was on this ass (which if you've commited pure fraud I think you should be on the lookout for something like this to happen). He left Twitter spaces and other random calls when their was enough evidence to officially call him a fraudster which just damaged his public image 10x more.
The thing is he has already done interviews but most of the people interviewing him give him the benefit of the doubt and dont really ask him hard hitting questions just fluff questions that he answers them with some lie or bullshit and they dont follow up on it, what happened with SBF is that Coffezilla was able to ask him the hard hitting questions that had him admit to some incriminating thing and since Coffee is the source of this problem for Logan i doubt he would let him question him in any way
not to be one of those people who are like “actually i always knew this person was horrible i just didn’t tell anyone” but personally i was always wary of someone who filmed, edited, and posted a suicide victim literally dead
As "one of those people", it was obvious from the get-go. The videos he himself posted, and analysis of those said videos by several people, shows that the diagnostic criteria for sociopathy fits him like a glove. The parents of the kids still watching him has failed them and should never have been a parent. The adults whom STILL watch him, and people who got suckered into this scam deserve getting ripped off and taken advantage of.
I'm all up for Logan finally getting the slap he deserves but I've always felt like people tackled the Japan forest the wrong way. It was a team effort, the cameraman, the editors, the social media managers, publicists, even all the friends that knew and let it happen (on scene or after). They all share responsability. It wouldn't surprise me if Logan just filmed a bunch of content there, all more disrespectful/norm breaking than the others, and that the team at home picked what scenes to include. Because at the time he had a big ass team around him, it's beyond me that everyone at every level of direction gave the pass to post the video and that, even for those who disagreed, it took more than 20 hours for the video to finally get deleted ! It's not just a representation of his character, it's representation that nobody on his team care about the audience and that they are all "RU-vid brain rotten".
Seriously big props to Coffeezilla for covering these scams. To see folks like Moist, Pyro, and SOGames give attention to these scammers to raise awareness and hold them accountable. Logan has already disabled HIS IG
Coffeezilla is pretty cool, I love his CGI backgrounds. He puts in that bit of extra effort to make the videos just awesome, total chef's kiss to his content.
Can't say I'm surprised, I've never trusted Logan to have improved as a person. A guy doesn't do what he did and not fall back in bad habits while still being in the public eye
this isn't a bad habit, it's plain malicious and criminal. he will never improve as a person, because of the kind of person he is. other people are capable of doing a 180.
After this video I went to Coffezilla's channel and watched the three videos. I am astonished. I have now watched all of his videos from today to a year and a half ago, and I'm not stopping. Quickly just became one of my favorite channels.
I can honestly picture Rockstar Games making an in-game parody of Logan in their next GTA game and not even have to worry about over-exaggerating it because of how controversial he has been in the last 5 years. The same goes for Jake
