YES !!!! This show is terrific and totally heart-wrenching. I have seen the whole show (bought on the net, australian online shop). The series is great and it was Hugh's first job. What a talented man !!! And so nice.
Why the comments here very insulting Deborah physically, see other Hollywood actors, many couples who eventually divorced also perfect. So it's not a matter of outward appearance, but Hugh saw the inner beauty of the woman.
Just because she is older than him doesn't mean they are not good for each other...and you see she's so attractive. I bet she even have a good personality that makes Hugh love her more. 💙 luv them xo muxh
Deb was not a silly girl when she hitched up with Hugh. There is something very sexy about him playing this role and being so vulnerable, I think I would have had a "be still my beating heart" moment too.
Anyone who hasn't seen this Australian TV series, I highly recommend it. It's a bit gritty, but it is absolutely wonderful...a must to round out your Hugh Jackman collection. The man is awesome=)
i love her voice, and i find her pretty in a subtle way, like if you take a moment to look at her, she grows on you (but she was acting here) and it's only my opinion
What does it matter, age is just a number! I am 40, and my husband and I have 16 yrs between us. I look like I am in my teen's and my husband in his 30's. At the end of the day it's love that carries us into tomorrow. So for them if they are happy and are in love they deserve it! They are both great people and are awesome!
Sorry, may i ask you where did you buy it? Cuz i search it on Amazon and find out that it seems to be there's only the 1st episode "Rat Tamer" has released dvd. yeah..so, thank you anyway! :)
You guys all realize that a real prison would never let two inmates who obviously are violent towards one another bunk in the same cell....😂 No seriously, they go through an intense system of figuring out who is ok to put with who because of the gangs at least in the us anyway...
Haha these two eventually marry. Just searching on Hugh's early career and his life to discover this is where he meets his future wife. 27 year old marries a 40 year old. Wait a minute, I'm not saying she doesn't look good but she has aged quite a lot in the 17 years she's been married and Hugh still looks pretty good. Ageism exists for a reason.
supercooled Why does it matter that she looks older? Hugh doesn't care. Here is a quote from Deborra-Lee about Hugh: "If I'm feeling low or thinking I've let myself go a bit, I talk to Hugh and he says, 'Darling, you're beautiful!' I guess when you love someone, they always look beautiful to you. He'd never say I'd gained weight or I didn't look good - never. I am very blessed to have a husband who only ever sees the best in me." Also, when asked in an interview if he ever was concerned about their age difference, Hugh confidently replied, "Never" and explained that age is a physical attribute and everyone will eventually grow old and looks can go in an instant, but who you are on the inside is what matters the most, and he is in love with his wife and who she is in every sense of the word. And there are no fronts with Hugh. When he sees that, it is evident he means it with all his heart, and when he says Deborra-Lee is beautiful, it is evident he also means it with all of his heart. People should praise that rather than putting it down.
Hidalgo: "Old woman"? Seriously? She was a young 33 when they met (which is hardly anywhere near "old") and already had her own acting career--he was just starting out.
