I met Serge at a lunch event and told him the story about this one time a friend and I were going for breakfast and happened to pass Graham and Kathleen going in the opposite direction. Unsure of the protocol I just waved at them as we passed and they nervously waved back. Once we were out of earshot my friend turns to me and says "Your friends are dicks!", to which I immediately clarify "No, no, they don't know me at all". Which Serge found hilarious

At PAX West last year I walked past Beej on a crowded street. I waved and brightly called, "Hi Beej." Beej - slightly startled - smiled politely and waved back. I'm so glad I didn't ask him to sign my phone!
