I'm getting 11 mpg with a rebuilt transmission for a 2003 h2 with 180K miles and 20 inch mud tires and no rack. What kind of mpg are you getting with the roof rack and lift? Thanks.
I was only getting 8 but that's also with the spare on the roof. My transmission was on it's way out. It went and I put a used one in and went up to 9 but I screwed that one up now. I'm going to rebuild the original on my own and put that back in but it's going to be quite some time due to lack of time.
38x12.5x20. I left the leveling kit in but bolted the rear blocks onto the spring plate. It'll fit 42" with the right offset per @that.h2 His lift is custom built from a chevy lift but I asked him to measure certain point to point locations and I have slightly more clearance than him.
Oh yea, you don't need a spring compressor to install the rear springs either. You just have to make sure the brake line bracket is disconnected, the new links are in or disconnected, track bar unbolted, and then unbolt the rear lower control arms one at a time for each side then lift the body up until it won't go anymore and gives you enough room to put the spring in uncompressed. There's also the air ride sensor that stops it or break if you don't move it on the upper control arm.
If you do the springs like that, the driver's side will be right against the gas tank but when you lower it to put bolt the arm back in and then lower it all the way, the angle changes and pulls it back away from the tank.
RU-vid is so screwed up with their shadow banning me that I have no notification on what this question is in regards to. Any and all labor for anything in my videos though didn't cost me anything because I do everything myself. If the labor is about my lift, it to me 16 hours by myself which is pretty good because the directions called for 2 mechanics taking 8 hours. I probably could've done it in less time but I'm new to doing something like that and wanted to make sure everything was done right. Plus all the nuts and bolts and smaller parts were just loaded into bags and I couldn't tell what went where so trying to figure out the right nuts and bolts was a little chunk of that time.
Doesn't look good at all to much... looks like you need to rebuild the whole suspension system. I wouldn't have done that to my truck unless I was using it for something that needs a lift like that and not just for looks
That video makes it look like crap compared to the overall finished. I actually just rebuilt the transmission myself and finally installed it today. Just in my short test drive I had several people pull up to me and compliment it saying they've never seen anything like it in person. I mean there's lifted trucks around here but something as massive as the H2 lifted, looks like a tank. I have to add my rubber fender flares soon so I can get it inspected. Tires stick out too far.
I wish I could see it now because you're right in that video doesn't look right.... but I'm glad you got it together in the end bro but overall I do love them H2s much luck and good times with your baby.....
