A worldwide increase in cost of living inspired me to embark on this project because as a first-generation immigrant, I was never taught how to save for retirement. In 1980 when I arrived this country with a single mother and younger brother, our priorities were different because putting food on the table and paying for a roof over our head took precedent and we lived “in the moment.”
United States is the country which gave my family the opportunity to start a new life in exile and while there’s no comparison between Cuba and the US, the reality is that some people in this country are facing alarming food insecurities.
In this video I talk about the cost of groceries which continues to increase and in America; whether you choose to believe it or not, there are citizens that are struggling to pay for food.
FIRST TIME HERE? Welcome! As 2022 came to an end and with the rising cost of living, I was determined to start creating a purposeful retirement lifestyle for my husband and me. But this of course would require determination, resilience, and lots of discipline.
MY MISSION is to live with purpose, show up as my authentic self and work hard to help and understand people find their extraordinary destiny. Integrity and humility will carry me to design a meaningful life and inspire others in their journey.
