There is something about it that fits the theme and story of DDS so well. The guitar sounds lone and sad like most of the characters are having to eat others in order to survive.
They need more options, hd replacement, gameplay improvements on here and there, qql improvements and such and last but not least new and improved mantra grid. Skill sets for pre selection like preset 1, preset 2 etc...
@Woof Woof DDS has a different feel. Smt makes you feel alone in your quest while DDS makes you feel alone inside yourself despite having alot of characters compared to smt. The characters can act like humans but then act inhuman at the flick of a switch making it difficult to know if you can even trust your party members at times. It's different then the isolation and alienation of mainline smt.
Well the major theme is brutality and suffering. Goes with the Buddhist idea of karma and reincarnation. You are doomed to suffer over and over until you gain enlightenment. When I hear this song it successfully makes me think of the harsh, brutal reality these characters have to experience.
Finished persona and smt series. Now I started DDS and im so glad I waited until now to play cause its awesome as all hell and I feel I can appreciate it all the more.
This song has zero reason to kick as much ass as it does. I think the only reason I ever liked this game was because this played so often. Easily one of the best pieces of music I ever heard
There are a lot of great RPG battle themes out there but I don't think any match the tone and cadence of turn-based battles as perfectly as this one does
Aren't there 3 more solos to this track than the two included here? 0:36 First 1:43 Second Isn't there 5 in total? Is it possible for multiple full loops of this track dedicated to individual solos to be made, like with Normal Battle’s different versions from Nocturne?
I don't know why but this song always made me fall asleep. I got to the last dungeon and when I started farming to get to lvl 99 the instances I fell asleep became more common. I didn't complete the game 😅, but I would like to give it a second chance soon.
Gonna be honest…I don’t really like this battle theme. It’s good for the game’s tone and is a good track by itself, but as a battle theme for a game with an absurdly high encounter rate, this gets boring and annoying FAST, and I felt this when I was at the Citadel. 2nd game had the better battle theme
@@manimanistatue And yet the above still happens. Hell, I've gotten a battle after a half step immediately leaving another one, but I can count the amount of times that has happened on one hand across three runs.
I really wanted to like this game but the story is just sooooo weak. How the hell do you expect me to take interest in a silent protagonist in a dreary, post-apocalyptic wasteland with a cast of supporting characters who literally lacked personalities until the demon affliction event happened? I could forgive the story if the battles were interesting but the game plays pretty much how you'd expect an SMT game to play minus demon negotiation.
Most of DDS1 is buildup towards DDS2 which contained significantly more plot. Also Serph wasnt planned to be silent earlier in develoupment. He was changed later with most of his lines given to Gale.
Theres a reason the characters ‘lacked personalities’ until the demon affliction occurred. Have you tried playing the game to understand why these things happen in the story?
@@necronomics1804 I made it to the part of the game where you have to set bombs on a ship. I don't remember why I was doing that because it's been a while and I wasn't particularly interested in the game's plot to begin with. Like I said in my original comment, it's hard to be interested in a silent protagonist in a post-apocalyptic wasteland with a cast of supporting characters who only have one emotion apiece.
