You were zeroed for 54 yards and I think the bighorn was closer, so the bullet went high. You can see it impact the ground behind the animal after you shoot.

I had a group of mule deer that I was watching across the river come right towards me to less than 20 meters. I was laying down and had a perfect view for a good 10 minutes. Two nice 3-stars in there as well that I really wanted to blast.

Flinter, I had exactly the same thing with a Mule deer, moved when I fired. Small amount of blood on the trail, it went for ages then stopped. I slept, relogged and went back to the same spot. The herd was back with my stag. I’m doing the deer management mission at the moment. Dropped him this time. Shot twice. So I’m pretty certain if you shoot and get small blood the animal will survive and you loose it. Devs should make the Bighorn fight like they do in Classic, that would be good. Great video! I haven’t been to that part of the map yet, I’ll definitely be taking a look now. Cheers.

This game is made by a different studio, EW has nothing to do with this game so why make it like classic? They need to make games better not the same as other games

@@noodles466 dude he said it’d be cool if they fought like they do in classic. Which is very common among bighorn sheep. They fight. It’s not making it like classic you clown it’d be making it like real life🤣 I do not at all understand that backward ass thought process you got goin on

what i seem to be finding is, the red markers dont work like that, if you are trying to save them on the map for position for a later time, if you then put a red marker somewhere else, the original marker go away, you have to use the blue markers which are on the map screen for permanent positions

Same happened with me the only area I paid the ticket cos 5 star sheep ran off. I saw it on the boarder I got a shot off but badly. Then I had to go to Every lake and found him at the last.

Shot my 2nd 5 star bighorn today. Showed 5 star in my binos but in harvest screen shows 3 star and still gave me credit for the 4 star or higher job lol

Moving animals and angles really mess with ballistics in this game. I made a beautiful quartering away shot on a moose with the .300 yesterday at 150yds. In should have been a right lung + heart but didn’t even penetrate the flesh to the first lung. Shot 2 was perfect 90° broadside and I went all the way through

Moose are just bulletproof with the 300, shot one broadside on 2 different occasions and it was a flesh both times so I just neck shot him

So I noticed you're playing hunter difficulty...have they said what the actual differences between difficulty are? Other then no hunter sense in ranger difficulty.

I loved this game but lost the replay ability already. With the racks and horns being completely predictable it looses a lot. I need so much more variation in antlers than they have. Not every 5 start needs to be a 7X7. Big framed 5x5s etc would make such a difference. The difference in antlers is so subtle that I have 3 5 star whitetail, 2 mule deer, 2 moose and some small game but none of the antlers are different enough I feel like shooting more. I’d rather shoot 2 stars where you can get 8 points, 10s etc. I love the mechanics of the game but the lack of variety looses so much.

Any console players experiencing a green texture pop up on the grass and ground textures. Like the colors on the grass turn a really bright green, looks like a pop up. I’m noticing it on this game. Haven’t really tested to see if it’s a gpu problem on my ps5 yet

A high genetics animal 95+ does not mean that it will become 5 star garanteed. It has a chance to get to 5 star but i can also end up with 4 star. I had a 3 Star whitetail adult and he became in the last year of mature state only a 4 star with 99 percent genetics.
