Really appreciated learning from your excellent video and also from reading the comments. Definitely liked and subscribed... intending to someday soon honor the ancestors and harvest some venison using a shorty shell . Thanks.
I totally agree with you on using the 12 gauge mini slugs on deer. I have been using them In Idaho where I live for about 8 years. I use them in a Mossberg 500 with a Opsol mini plug.
I use the aguila mini shells in my ksg and mossberg. Killed a wild sheep 2 weeks ago at 90 yards. Killed hogs at 70 and under along with coyotes beaver etc. I also Killed pigs with the mini buckshot and lots of squirrels with the mini bird shot. Love the mini shells
I'm pairing them with my keltec ks7. I've seen videos on here where that shotgun cycles them with no.issues. I think.its mostly due to the power of the extractor claw latching onto the rim of the shell and how straight it holds the she that affects how reliably they feed
You may want to cycle a lot more shells before you confirm the Stevens works reliably. I developed the OPSol mini clip after buying and trying a 1300 and an 870. Both cycled the minishells, if you racked them quickly. But on occasion, like about 6% of the time, the minis would literally flip around in the mag well. There are mechanical reasons involving the carrier and the method of ejection that also just muck things up with the 870 and 1300.
