12 gauge Mini Shot Shells, do they work?

Good info. Check out the Opsol adaptor. My mossberg 590 runs them flawlessly with it.

I bought two 300 round cases of these shells delivered to the doorstep for $135 each case. I have run about 200 of them through my Mossberg 14in. Shockwave using the Opsol adapter and they run like a charm in it. They are kind of cheap and fun to go out in the forest near me and shoot off 50 or so of them at time for 0.45 cent per round. Since ammo is expensive and hard to come buy at this time. Under normal circumstances these mini shells from Challenger, Aguila, Rio, and Federal are overpriced rounds. I would use a $50 box of 250 rounds of Winchester 7.5 shot 2.75 inch rounds any day over these mini rounds when no ammo crisis is going on. Although, I do keep the Shockwave loaded at home with 9 in the tube and one in the chamber of the Aguila buckshot rounds at all times.

Opsol makes adapter that replaces the shot shell elevator for less than $20. Works like clockwork.

I have ran the Challenger 1 3/4" shells and have never had an issue because I run them with the OpSol adapter in my Mossberg 590's and Maverick 88 as designed.

Ya gotta get the adapter for the mini shells and they will work flawlessly. I am debating a tube fed Shockwave w/ brace with minis vs a mag fed version.

I'm so envious, wish we could have short barreled guns. I have several cases of their slug ammo for my Mossberg 500's. They cycle fine with the Opsol 2.0 adapter. At indoor range at 25yds ghost ring sights and a rest got s single ragged hole and my eyes aren'tthat great. 20ga target load recoil. Wish I could get more at prices they were 4 months ago.

I haven't used any of the Challenger minis but the Federal and Aguila function my Chinese 870 clone just fine. It doesn't seem to care what it eats though....

Any mossberg 500 series with a 17 dollar opsol adapter. I've ran about 430 rounds of these and the challenger slugs without a malfunction. These shot rounds are great for snakes. The slugs hit with as much power as a .44mag so can be used for whatever you want as long as you can accurately hit. My accuracy with the slugs top out about 35/40 yards. The shot is good to about 10 yards (for me with a straight cylinder bore) before the pattern opens up too wide.

Better in a Double Barrel Coach gun or Over and Under.

I'm thinking these would be great in my over/under 12 ga to manage recoil

Use a Mossberg with the adapter and theyll run perfect

I have a modle 37def pump action 12 gage ithica with a 20in barrel that holds 7 and 1 normal shells and even without the adapter it runs the mini shells perfect

Light load/mini shells are perfect for single shot /sxs & o/u's... I've even seen a shotgun handgun that was made by Rossi and cut down by some fluke of gov't laws gone haywire upon import to Canada. check it out, they practically take their hands off trying to shoot the thing with heavy loads the dummies. they need to shoot some mini shells instead and maybe have some fun while doing so!!

The Stevens 320 runs the Aguila Minishells no problem. 👍
