Houston we have been very blessed to not go through what they do seem like every hurricane season...to deal with this on top of a pandemic, my thoughts and prayers to all residents..
I really do appreciate it. I got a direct hit. Our neighborhood wind meter recorded 189mph winds. Which a category 5 hurricane is 157+mph winds. We have alot of emotions going on at the moment. It's rough. I'm rebuilding. This is home. I lost everything. But, it can be replaced. A life can't. In most areas. It looks like someone put everything in a blender and dumped it all out everywhere's. I really do appreciate everyone's love and support. It's means more than y'all know. I'm shaking while typing this
@@michellemcdermott2026 The concern for humans is already automatic. Ask any American if they're worried for the humans down there and 99% will say yes. Less people care about animals as they're viewed as unimportant casualties with the exception of dogs and cats as we have a bias preference for them. Shouting our concern for the people just seems like a given as very few think otherwise. It's like saying the "sky is blue". I think most already know that.
Last time they had that crazy hurricane that destroyed everything was a category 3, this one is a 4. I hope people got outand the levees work this time

I hope they spent that Fed recovery money on improving their flood control and emergency response after Katrina. I seem to recall N.O. had a graft-a-palooza with all their Fed emergency preparedness money before Katrina and their citizens paid for it with their lives.
Brings back memories of when I lived in Florida in the 90's. I remember driving home from work during a hurricane. Every time I drove through a intersection, the cross-winds would push my truck over a lane or two. Thankfully I was the only idiot out on the road at the time. Now I'm in California dealing with wildfires and earthquakes.
I live in Philadelphia we have regular a sweater you live through all that stuff because you choose to is plenty of places that God allows us to live but you picked all the places that God's sais get the hell out of lol

Myself not new to Hurricanes or Ciclones, Cyclones in my days we opened all doors windows and let the air right on through.
I fell bad for this place. I went there in 2010 to 2013 and they still werent fully recovered from katrina. There large mall was almost completely closed aside from a theater and it was just a normal sunny day with no warning of bad weather

Im sure they transport their cash, if not move everything to a vault that doesn’t need power to remain locked. They’ve been in business a while, I doubt they’d make mistakes at this point
They're hyping this storm up, when it is just a rainstorm, all for the purpose of creating a false crisis. Who knows, they might just break the levies themselves to make their own devastation and blame it on the hurricane, correction rain storm.

My prayers are with the families that couldn't/ didn't evacuate. Let's hope this remains a category 4 and not a 5. Also, sorry to bring this up but this is just the start of something historic.
