I subscribed and thank my fellow angel, OLE Olson, for making this request. While this new original song is awesome, it is not typical from Angelina. She is the current Queen of Jazz who, in my opinion, is the greatest singer storyteller of my 65 years. Her angels (fans) are thrilled when she does let loose with a belt, but the majority of the time she is hugging our souls with her rich, deep alto voice. Angelina is the only vocalist to make me cry and she does so often. That said, I LOVE this song and performance and look forward to many like it. The only things that exceed Angelina's musical talents are her humility and empathy. Please read why she always performs barefoot. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina never learned the orphan's name but called her Princess. The orphan girl replied, "princesses live in castles, we live in ruins". Angelina titled her song about this story, "Princess of Ruins". Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian genius (now 18 y old) is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 71 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life. Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause her singing is so beautiful. Her voice touches my heart and cleanses my soul.

Hi guys, nice that you took a little peek into Angelina's rabbit hole. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 with songs by Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and the song Summertime from the film Porky and Bess. I think that any person who has never heard of or listened to AJ, needs to listen to early/younger AJ, before they venture into her current music, in order to appreciate Angie's versatility and brilliance. For example, had someone listened to Stay at age 12, and then hear Bad Valentine, they would see the differences in what she is capable of as she aged. Just a thought.
