I met this sweet soul of a woman a short while ago after this case, I couldn’t believe it. Judge Funmi is doing an awesome job. She is now chubby, happy and full of life. She said people reached out to her through Justice Court, the leg is healing beautifully. Thanks ma for all you do.

This world is a wonderful place. I faced this situation 37 years ago. I was deceit by a man for marriage, A whole diplomat, he never wanted me to further my education, he got me pregnant, defiled all the education promises. I.left with 8 month pregnancy, After giving birth to my son ,I went back to school acquired my certificates, had a good job. After 7 years, I got married to someone, who say he was adopting my son. When my son was taking 1st position in class, he started mistreatment, To cut the long story short ,I left with my so. Today he is 37 years, certified engineer. Australia citizen. All the X are fighting for recognition. My X husband has given him a piece of land in Cameroon. The father is telling me his own stuff. So never back down for your child. God will always do a new thing, whether sick or healthy. Keep on.

I was sickly as a child and i know what my parents passed thru for me to become well and today am a father of 4 beautiful and handsome kids. Most step parents are not caring to kids who are sick only direct parents can sacrifice and do what it takes to care for sickly kids. Woman dont lose up that boy is a blessed child and will make you pround someday.

Someone that should be in jail, we're sending to marriage counseling. Beating someone till they faint is a criminal offense. We need to start addressing these criminal acts and stop excusing bad behaviour!

I am very sure that wound is Osteomyelitis (Ulcer of the bone). That wound is not healing because the bone is decayed. I will advice you see an orthopedist. I am a sickle cell patient and I had same wound and I was dressing it for 2 years. It did not heal until I had a surgery to remove the decayed bone in my leg. Go to an orthopedist, they will tell you to do an X-ray and the root cause will be revealed, followed by a solution. Delay is dangerous o to avoid amputation. Also, please check if he is diabetic. That may also hinder the healing of the wound. Take good care of yourself.

I was short or words and couldn't type, listening to this woman's situation. But when i saw what was written at the back of the man's shirt 'finisher', then I knew he is a killer. Useless man😡😡

Sickle cell complications are very expensive to treat, my husband had this type of sore as a result of SS complication 2 years ago,and he dresses it everyday.Nothing is cheap about the disease.My heart goes out to this woman, may the Lord send her help.

It is so sad that the husband couldn't acknowledge his step son's illness "sickle cell" neither the leg injury he also sustained.. My sincere sympathy for this lady for being alone in all these despite even being married...very sad indeed!!!!

Sickle cell leg ulcer or osteomyelitis is very difficult to treat. He needs to go to the teaching hospital where he can receive multidisciplinary attention. How can we donate? This got me really tearing . God bless all mothers. This woman is a strong woman.

The last time tears rolled my eyes was when my uncle died. I mean, he was the closet of all my relatives, so I felt the pain of his departure to the extent that I shed tears........... But after watching this case, I wasn't able to control myself than to cry. I cried watching especially after the few seconds pause of the judge while holding her jaw and immediately left for a short break. I knew she was trying to control her emotions. I just spoke with her now. I wish the boy(Olamide) will survive outlive the sickness and make the woman proud. He has a strong will to live and God will make it possible for him. This made me soo teary and heart broken. I believe help has finally located the Mum and Son. He's got leg ulcer which is a side complication of having the Sickle cell Anemia disorder. Sickle cell is hard on the patient, siblings and parents. The husband is just frustrated as well, and the financial incapability worsens the case and hence transfer of aggression. I'm actually so proud of the Mum for standing Strong "Abiamo Tooto" and thanks to Justice Funmi, May God continually enrich your purse ma. And to the boy, he seems very brilliant and believe he's got a good future ahead.

The “father” is evil and cold hearted. How can you maltreat someone that you’re supposed to take care of as your own son? Marriage counselling won’t help this situation. I pray the Lord continues to keep the woman and her son strong.

Honestly speaking if the man has help in taking care of the boy from the beginning, the boy wouldn't have to run away from home, he might as well finish his education and secure a decent job. This man is very wicked. He could not say one thing that the woman or her son did wrong to deserve this mistreatment. He no longer want to be married to her but she has been auch a perfect wife that he could not find reason to divorce her. So he asked her to bring the boy to live with them. What the wife did not know was that the husband had future plans to use the boy to abuse her and eventually use the boy as an excuse to kick her out of the house and to divorce her. He is an abuser who fully understand a mothers pain qhen you mistreat her child. HE COULD NOT TELL THE JUDGE ONE FAULT WITH THE WOMAN. ZERO!!!

Though I am a man and married too. I felt so sorry to the extent of shedding tears for the woman during her explanation. I appreciate the Judge for the wisdom she has been using in solving other matters. This woman will definitely be blessed for her caring for the boy. As for the man, he is an ungrateful element. Hopefully, he will realize his mistakes and beg the woman for forgiveness.

This is Heartbreaking. Kudos to the mother and May God heal the son. Please my advice to the boy is to continues use of Penicillin and folic acid. I am SS, and 43, lived in Nigeria for 30 years before moving to UK to continue my life. I’m married with 3 kids non of them is SS. God Bless.
