@@robertI153 I think it was just an old rubber hose. Sure it could have sat in some old gas for a while but I don't think the saw ever ran on old fuel. The cylinder and piston were pretty clean.

I assumed when the mount broke cranking on the stuck saw that the fuel line was ripped in half from continuous yanking??

I've been giving some thought to a series of videos just teaching theory of saw repair. Once you know basic electricity, carbs etc, you should be able to fix anything. Of course that would require I never sleep and my days are already full. We'll see.

@@TheGreasyShopRag if you do decide to do it and even if you charge for the classes sign me up. Where I'm at I have no one to turn to for advice or help it's just me and honestly it doesn't seem fair to the customers I'm what they got stuck with. I've spent numerous of hours taking Stihls and Husqvarna etc.. training classes online but I'm a hands on person, maybe to old to teach a new trick. Just me being a saw nerd.. . Thats a gen2, 372 and would be called a x-torque and/or strato saw. A gen1 would have a gray choke lever not blue. the compression release is on the side of the piston, not the top. . Thats Probably the 2 easiest ways of identifying a gen1 from a gen2 version. Approximately 2010 is the swich over. 0.01c
