Changing out the carb on 440E II (2) 2017 model saw. What made this saw a pain for parts was the E series and being a 2nd edition E ii.
yes I'm sure you would of did something different. by all means post a video that will help other people in this world instead of bad mouthing other people video. you must be stuck on something if your looking at these type of video. think before you post.. thanks

This video is the best one on RU-vid for understanding how to replace the carburetor on the Husqvarna 440 chainsaw. There are a few other videos on RU-vid on this topic, but they are not as thorough, easy to understand, and, most importantly, correct. Thank you for the great video!

Ya I try to show that 1 or 2 items EVERYONE fails to show.. yes I might not be the fastest but common sense and figuring thing out I'm a pro at.. people don't pay attention to detail in this new world of idiots who are not teacher material at all. Lol

I'm having trouble getting the 3 Allen bolts back in. Bottom left will thread but the top and bottom on the right side won't. Any idea??

sorry dont look at youtube alot. but i have found like lug nuts .. one wont go on so i try it on a different one and it threads right on.. anytime i have this kind of problem i will move it different bolt thread etc.. and 99.9% of the time it work

Great video, thank you. Took my chainsaw to the shop, they said the carburetor was bad, so bought one from EBay, I followed your instructions to the point, new spark plug, still will not start. Any idea.

The answer sucks.. for my dad's saw a new carb was not the problem. He was cutting away and set it down. It stalled then would not start. Only couple tanks of gas ran through it.. oh how I could NOT BELIEVE OR THINK and oh my g$# there no way in heck but sure as shiiiiitt it was his rotor bad. Old one would try to run and then nothing. Slap a new one on 3 pulls and it was running.. oh how I hated to even think a rotor/coil went bad that fast. Small eng shop guy said buy an OEM coil rotor.... do not buy china it will not last... But $80 later and no problems.. pull plug tape it to top of cylinder and pull it. See if u got great spark each time.. dad would spark spark spark miss miss miss spark miss spark miss..

The small eng guy i asked did not hesitate when he answered rotor coil was junk. He says he see it more then you would think. Saw may even run but like shiiit or run and not throttle up, lack of power... But between coil rotor and carb it was still cheaper then having a shop do it.. and he was 100% serious when he said get OEM ... do not buy a China rotor coil. They don't hold up.

where does the carb gasket (paper) go?

Sorry I can't think of a cardboard gasket. It might set behind that plastic square intake manifold.... sorry been almost a year...maybe a diagram would show you .. thanks and good luck... check that plastic intake for pinhole leaks... so your not doing it again.. good luck

good luck.. post your video so we can see how u did.. and i hope it as easy as the carb... this saw was a coil/rotor for only be a couple years old.. does your start or bark at all... this one would bark then nothing ... even starting fluid it would do nothing.. not sure your problem but let us know
