Looks like it overheated to me. I wonder if the auto tune was going too lean or had a air leak. It appears to have 4 point scoring, which happens from overheating. That sucks that they won’t warrant it. Maybe this video will blow up and they change there mind😂

By the looks of that piston I'd say you either had a huge air leak or it was straight gased

Sorry to see this mate. I have become really disappointed with Husqvarna’s after sales service! I have a 592XP for about 18months. I’ve had mufflers fail, top cover hammering the cylinder head fins and husky say it’s from excessive vibration. That’s great, I’m no rep and can see the obvious, but on a brand new saw and not being the only one with the issue…. WHY? Your saw with 40 hours on it, you use saws regularly for years and you get the default straight gas excuse. Husqvarna need to come clean, are they producing high quality long lasting saws or saws with after sales extended profits in mind through repairs that shouldn’t be need for years to come?
@JaseC80
@JaseC80 Год назад
I also noticed the beginnings of the wear marks on the inside of your top cover 8:29 . The top cover hammers the cylinder cooling fins. To prevent it becoming worse; undo the clips, and place a small 2mm (1/16) washer. This will raise the top cover slightly and clearance with cylinder.

Don’t replace the top end without checking the crank seals first. Husky 5 series saws have crank bearing issues. Bearing cage breaks apart which takes out the seals.

Being that a two stroke oils the crank, rod and bearings by the pre-mix gas/oil entering as a charge from the carb, you should see some signs of heat (color change) around the top of the rod where the piston bearing is if it was straight gassed. I'd have your dealer resubmit pics of the crank area if there is no heat damage.

Sounds like it had an air leak and the autotune tried to adjust for it. The last 372xp i bought had an air leak around the intake boot right from the factory. Huskies quality assurance sure has gone down hill. Sucks.

Doesn't matter what gas is n the tank. Reason it looks looks like it was straight gassed is there is NO residue. If it wasn't straight gassed a new cylinder will solve it. AND if you do build it immediately pressure/vac test it. IF u find a air leak then go back at them for warrantee. But honestly from what u show it looks straight gassed.

I mean to me it’s pretty simple. Either yes you put straight gas in it, which I don’t believe, or B, the auto tune tuned an issue out of it, Which made her LEAAANNNN… we all knew this was going to happen. It’s not rocket science

Classic husqvarna defelction. Blame it on the homeowner. Happens all too often. They have air leak issues. Grab up an older saw. Got a ported echo cs 8000 that would out last a dozen of these newer garbage saws.

Your shops not helping, they can take the carb apart or send to husqvarna to do and check the fuel in there, if there is no oil mixed then fair enough. But if it's something else they should put it right under warranty. Plug the carb in and get a full printout you can check what the H jet was doing at the time. If your 100% sure it was filled with mixed fuel I would push the shop to find out more and prove it was straight gassed. Stick with it but humans do make mistakes. Good luck 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍

Poor quality 2 stroke oil is the most likely culprit, or not enough oil. 40:1 is the best mixing ratio. I like Mobile 1 2 stroke oil or Lucas and Amsoil is good oil. Motul is probably the best 2 stroke oil.

I'd be filing that with court. There's mixed gas in it, and the shop should have pictures of what was in the carb. Canadian judges are pretty consumer friendly. This makes me nervous because this is pretty much what stihl did to me last year. I have a 592 I bought in spite of stihl equipment. So dar it's been great and I asked a ton of questions before I bought it. I was told the 562 was the problem child of the 5 series.

@BurninGas8.1 that's what I've heard across the board. There are very few people talking about problem 592s though. Even donny walker and he's one of the best chainsaw wizards out there. I'm crossing my fingers my 592 holds up, but I'll be keeping an eye on it from now on. I have a great dealer that would not want to lose my business but ultimately it's not up to them if you get warranty. I'd 110% be filing in small claims court against husky though. That's bullshit. They may warranty it just to get the monkey (you) off their back.

Very sad to hear that Husqvarna would say something like that when they haven’t seen or inspected the saw the dealer should have told Husqvarna that it didn’t have straight Gas ⛽️ from the pump and was mixed with 2 stroke oil. I just can't believe they would do that! You said you ran a tank through and then refilled it and after that it was toast.. so that first tank would have been where the damage was done.. was that first tank filled by you on the day of running? Any chance someone else put straight gas into that first tank? Because by your explanation it was that first tank that killed it not the fuel in the refill.

I don’t think a professional grade saw has a 5 year homeowner warranty. If it’s for professional use, it’s a 1 year and homeowner is 2. I don’t think buying the fuel bundle counts on pro saws, only the homeowner grade like the 400 series but I could be wrong.

Dude...its pretty simple, Im feel sorry for u but U straight gassed the saw, whetther you didnt mix the 'new' fuel, whatever. The piston & cylinder look 'straight gassed'. I think you can save the cylinder and put a new piston kit in saw. "If" u have the experience u claim, get out the scotch brite style soft abrasive, put it through a mandrel on a Foredom style rotary tool and remove that transfer. Use a little wd-40. Fit a piston kit. Put it all together and MIX your fuel well in the future. As men we MUST take responsibility for problems around us, nobody else gives a chit. Good luck, its not near as bad as you think. That saw is designed to cut wood for approx 2000hrs, its basically brand new. Well worth fixing. The shop advice is different to the 'loggers' advice as they have to warranty every part. They WONT EVER clean up a cylinder. You CAN!!!!
