Tactile Ted; I like how you always are touching objects, like the duct work. It's as if you have magic fingers or are blind, and are trying to get a feel for the situation. It's fun to watch and adds to the relaxation of watching you in action. 😎
Good video Ted, this lady will appreciate you doing the repair job correctly for her, it will prevent her heating and cooling being vented under the house, at her expense 👍 Au
Thanks Ted I look forward to your follow up video I guess the hvac crappy ductwork strikes again. And you are not the only one Mr hvac guy in Georgia got one on your favorite brand trane. And it was a good older r 22 trane maybe from 2006. where the coil froze up because the coils need cleaning but the air handler was installed in the worst spot in the attic. And on top of that some hvac guy cut a big hole in the return ductwork right by the evap coil and tried to cover it up with that same junky aluminum hvac tape which I don't like because it does not stick very well. Unless it is solid metal. Ohh and Ted please cut out that bad part of the flex duct and just put good old solid aluminum round duct in its place as I am finding I just don't like that vinyl flex duct at all wrapped in all that fiberglass insulation. It's just a rodent trap waiting to happen. Again thanks for the upload and I look forward to your follow up video showing how you repaired it right.
And Ted you just got a shout out from Curtis Mr hvac guy himself from in how to check fir a leaking shrader valve and Curtis is a good tech like you. And Curtis has install videos on the gree flex which uses Copper coils and has one on his house and been testing the 3 ton version with no issues. Vice versa you and your friend my hvac life guy have been doing great testing products videos and I apreciete you guys testing equipment at you shops and figuring out how to find the defects and fix them. If only thier were a lot more good techs like you guys out there today instead of all these hvac butchers out there that are just in to much of a hurry.
Ive used flex 99% of the time but lately ive been thinking about all the downsides of flex and i feel like hard duct would just be better for the most part.
Been in almost everything hvac has to offer. Residential, commercial, industrial. From install, service and management. I hated techs when I was an installer, hated installers when I was a tech, hated everyone when I was a manager. Can't really wag a finger unless you were there for the situation. Assume nothing.
You always use Trigger Words like Butcher Hackj ob and stuff like that! I get a kick out of it! Get a few more added to your vocabulary. Stop going for the cheap click. Omg so funny! Is every job out there a Hack job and sabotaged?
