You can flip the bracket on the cylinder of the unit (remove it and turn it around anyway) so the dampener is orientated more straight ahead rather than angled. A number of people report the rudder feels better this way. Unfortunately MFG are currently out of stock.

It's very personal but CAM 4 has just a very slight centre feel, whereas I actually prefer CAM 6 - which has more of a centre detent so you don't have to focus on rudder to attain max speed while flying or centering the rudder in a dogfight, there's a small bump. I believe there's other cams - at least numbers 5 and 6, which with the soft and standard spring options means everyone should be able to sort themselves one way or another.

I'm happy with no detent so far, love the feel. I have yet to mess with any deadzone etc, I don't think I need to, but just a great enhancement :)

@@KM-bj7ts I find that as long as the spring tension isn't over powering the damper, there is no detent really.

Great little review! You still liking these pedals? I’ve been debating these VS Virpil ace but am leaning more towards the crosswinds because of the damper and I fly mostly a mix of choppers and modern jets.

Yeah love them, damper is totally with it! Stops you changing directions immediately like you can on others, which makes them feel more toy like. Recommend mounting to a base though, mine are on a square piece of wood for more stability

The official instructions have you removing the back end and adding the adapter to the front end which is what i did, involving reassembling the bearing and nut in the rear, not sure if that makes a difference?

Hey Adam. I have the Logitech pro flight pedals and hate the notchy centering cam feel. I was wondering if you have the cam installed on these? How much can you adjust the spring tension to only just feel the centre? Thanks for your reviews.(edit) Just read the cam pdf and there is a spring adjustment screw.

Hey I have stock cam on mine, and amount of tension in spring to centre also depends on the Hydraulic adjustment, obviously looser it is the less spring you need. Personally so far I have found pretty much any spring leads to detent.

What did you end up deciding? I literally have the exact same issue with the Logitech Pros and am ready for an upgrade but a lot of the different cam installs I saw on these make it looks like they're much smoother than Logitech's, but still with a 'sticky' center which I'm really not all about. The hydraulic addon seems to make it look smoother. I was looking at the Thrustmaster TPRs which seem to be exceptionally smooth - but at $600 I'm very weary...

Great pedals, my NEXT Racing\Flight stand is only 49cm between the uprights.. I see the width "- Overall width of standard pedals reduced 5mm (From 495 to 490mm)" is right there at maximum, wondering if i'll be banging my ankles on the posts...

Tight squeeze, I just looked up a pic of the stand, your ankles might not forgive you. Or some foam on the uprights lol.

@@AdamsSIMporium back in the states I could just fire up my cut-off saw, add in 50cm and weld it up with my MIG welder... not so easy here with no tools. How wide are the mounting points, I think my 355mm base may not be wide enough either!

OK, with the WAP (Width Adj Pad) knocking it down to 46cm wide i'm good and they are ordered and supposedly being shipped! One more question, as these are V3 pedals is the software\firmware any different than the V1 & V2? MFG does not have anything showing that mentions V3...

See Here for recommendation to put the damper in a centered instead of slant position. MFG understates the importance of this in their installation video. Sorry, I'm not really sure what you mean. I assume you mean a bit of free play or something? I don't believe mine does, I still use it on the same pedals.

In terms of electronics, controllers and materials they are similar if not the same. The only major difference is that V2 doesn't have the pre-drilled threads to accommodate the hydraulic damper. But Milan offers a retrofit kit that allows you to install a hydraulic damper onto the V2. Been using mine for 4 years now and was thinking about getting the retrofit kit, but it is has been out of stock for quite some time now.
