1:18:20 is what essentially killed my walk through. The game was fun, challenging but nothing impossible before that place. Once I reached this room, I could never figure out how do I do the trick. Hints in the comments are not helping since my fingers can't be that fast. I've tried to pass this room for 2 months and abandoned the game. Such a shame, but this room should have never existed in the first place.
1:41:31 "Yes, she blasted her way through all of our defenses, destroyed our experiments, killed our leader, again, and is escaping the planet's self-destruct sequence with ease, BUT I'm gonna get her if it's the LAST THING I- aaand she rolled away.... *sigh*" -that one Space Pirate.
Huh. It's like the movement is at the speed and gravity of Fusion/Zero Mission, but in the Super Metroid engine and art style. Now that's cool. Though the sound effect for landing on the ground, I don't see why that was changed. I miss the whoosh sound of jumping sideways too, but the new one ain't bad, it's quieter too so that's fine. The sound for changing into Morph Ball is a bit loud and doesn't quite fit imo
For the power bomb around 1:18:20, what you need to do is: -charge your speed in the first section of the room, you can go to the far left for having more room -Once samus is flashing, do a little spinjump and change the direction you were going while spinning -keep pressed the direction and land. Now samus retains his "speed" status but going really slow. -you will retain that slow "speed" status as long as you keep the direction pressed while walking, but you can freely change directions while spinning. Since you don't need to time the space jumps in this hack, all you need is to practice to get that slow speed state, then do the room. the gates at the bottom takes a long time to close, and as long as you can do all in one time you will get enough time. if you fail and lose your slow speed status is mostly sure you will have to redo the room.
Good info, but he is not a he, you put "Now samus retains his "speed" statues...", Samus is a female. Sorry had to correct, just like when people call Link Zelda. XD
+Jonthan Urban dont worry, if I could edit it I would. Sometimes if I dont pause and check the grammar I make these kind of mistakes since in my native language his/her/its use the same word so I often default.
This hack is really brilliant, dare I say superior to the original Super Metroid...The exploration alone was astonishingly enjoyable. RealRed did a hell of a job.
+Rubilac If you don't have the Spring Ball yet, you can do it by using a technique called "speedballing" or "mockballing." Googling those terms should explain how to do it.
20:27. I have a grey door there. I tried everything. Checked everything and looked everywhere on the internet for this but noone seems to have a grey door there except me. Do you know how i can get past this door? Im about to uninstall the game cause im really frustrated
Can you give a clue to the first super missile location without sequence breaks? I've been through brinstar and found a bunch of green doors but no missile, backtracked to criteria and now don't want to spoil too much but I'm getting tired of looking for it.
Kinda find the morphball sound annoying, is there a version of HM with the stock morphball sound of the SM ? If at least it would be half of loud it could pass, but this is just hitting the eardrums pretty hard. What is wrong with the stock sound ?

+Saul Kahwage Thanks guy. I use this map made by Danidub, I believe. It is very detailed and has been very helpful in planning out a route. i.imgur.com/1LsYZjh.png You can look here too: forum.metroidconstruction.com/index.php?topic=3505.0
+SidekStepM You have to speedboost as a ball, unmorph in the air, space jump a little ways, land but keep moving, then crouch to keep your shinespark. Then just make your way to the item. You can also do it from the room below, but it takes a room transition and you start the shinespark timer much earlier too.
not sure, I assume they aren't normally allowed because nintendo. Although I hear a speedrun of the Rotation hack is going to be a bonus incentive this time around.

+theonlymikeystatic Those are the only early super missiles in this game. The intended way to get supers is really far away, so this is the only way to go.
What's the intended way then? I've been everywhere thats not locked behind a super missile or super bomb door. I usually hate asking for help, but I've serious spent 5 hours just trying to get those super missiles
+theonlymikeystatic The intended way is in Lower Norfair, the room at 48:10. There is a blue door at the top left. There are no other options for super missiles other than that. I think to get there normally, find your way to the Crocomire miniboss in Norfair. Hope that helps!
