Oh the memory of little feet texture! That's something to treasure! We love our bidet. Y'all are getting really good with the earthen floor. That looks amazing.
Thanks! It's doing really well. 🌱❤️I plan to show it in a video soon. Little grasshoppers are chewing on the okra plants, but the neem oil spray seems to be helping. 🌞
Looking great you guys! It's really starting to all come together. Can't wait to watch the next finishing coat on the floors. We plan to do earthen floors too, so really appreciate this info. Hope you guys have a great weekend!
Very nice job installing the toilet and I agree a Bidet is much more sanitary to use than paper. I installed 2 Brondell toilet seats in my bathrooms with cold water only and a T connector with a shut off valve. Easy to install and they work really well and save money on reducing paper use. Enjoy your videos.
Bodet...cool...Will there be catch water? Detail work does make a difference, g daughter got loose 😂 whitewash made much brighter 🌝 Great job all! I always enjoy Aprils production skills. ❤
Another nice enjoyable video. Thanks Having the styrofoam insulation under the floor like that won’t cause it to get compacted and sink and cause cracks on the floor?
Yup I have not used a roll of toilet paper in years. Including through all of covid. The unit I use has heated water and air dry and only needed the regular cold water supply. Also heats your seat and illuminates the bowl.
5 parts sand, 5 parts high clay native soil and 1.5 parts dried grass. It would have been better to add more of the coarse grass, but it was a pain to gather and chop.
@@RedandAprilOff-Grid ok, kinda like adobe. I have been making adobes down here with just some native red clay soil from on top of a mesa here and adding the fiberous material leftovers from making moonshine tequila.
Its been a pleasure watching this build from day one, the finish line is not far away now, April is doing a grand job with her finishing touches, the whitewashed walls look great, i look forward to the finish, but will miss your vlogs, bye from the uk [wales]
Your grand dog has got to be thrilled with the new ceramic, water bowl. You son’s home seems quite small, more like an efficiency apartment. Thank you for sharing this episode of your son’s journey. The prairie dog at the end was a nice touch. It looks to be about chipmunk size. Trusting that you are enjoying a terrific growing season with your family estate and garden. Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace friends.
🐶 😄 Yes, the house is pretty small, but there is still room for everything without it being crowded. The spotted ground squirrels we have around here are very cute, but a bit of a pest. We'll probably hit 100° today for the first time this year. Fortunately the heat should usher in the monsoon rains in the next few weeks and it will cool down again. Hope you are doing well! 🌞🏜️
This is amazing work! one thing i don't understand is why there are so little windows? isen't it nice to have more light and less Hyperadobe work to do while having more view? Is it something about the structural integrity or just a personla choice? like, i would make this entire front wall a massive window :)
Thanks! Yes, more windows would have been nice and would have helped heat the place in the winter. We were too busy to think much about it, and were unsure about how much they would take away from the structural integrity especially since Kyle didn't want to add any buttressing.
kyle....so excited we found our property off the 40 its near the mohave prison so i hope thats an ok area not sure where you guys are but would love to meet yas im interested in that adobe style home are you guys near there ?
Hahaha, sorry that ilaugh. The air dry for the toilet. I know why but it came out so funny. Good work you both. Hold up the family and god bless you all.
Awesome! It's a nice size. There is room for everything without being too cramped. Our house is doing great! We usually run the evaporative cooler for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Then we keep everything closed up during the heat of the day. The temperatures are staying between 73° and 80°. 🌞
water suckers but they grow quick. they are better off planting mulberry trees they are pretty drought tolorent once established . think I only have 1 poplar tree left alive from about 17 years ago . arizona cypress might be a good choice for wind break. I grew up in Cochise county and I still have a house there and southwest New Mexico
Thanks! We planted some poplars when we lived in NM. They do grow really fast, but have a somewhat short lifespan. Kyle will probably plant something near the gray water drain, but I doubt he'll plant much more than that. There are are a lot of good options, we'll see what he decides. 🌞🏜️
A great toilet! Fifty years ago these were also IN with us. Today only wall-mounted toilets are in demand, have you never seen them before? you have to google!
