Yeah, sure. 1.) Title screen/overworld theme from the original Legend of Zelda on the NES (this theme repeats several times throughout); 2.) Dungeon theme from the same game; 3.) Title screen from Zelda II: Adventure of Link; 4.) Rain theme from the beginning of Link to the Past; 5.) Dark World theme from the same game; 6.) Ballad of the Wind Fish from Link's Awakening. Ah, the good old days of LimeWire, in which tons of songs were mislabeled and/or misattributed... Good times! Luckily, we now have the Video Game Music Database to help clear us up.

That might be going a bit harsh, don't you think? Sure, there's plenty of cringe out there, as you said, but there are plenty of Doujin remixes out there with good production values that respect the source material. For me, the Retro Remix Revue version of Gerudo Valley feels like they just replaced the game's MIDI with real instruments.
