July 2023: Hyundai Exter Variants Explained: In this video, we review Exter’s variants to find out which variant makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay. Watch the video to find out which variant of the Exter suits your needs best.
The Hyundai Exter SUV is available with 3 engine-transmission combinations. The ex-showroom prices of the 2023 Exter start from Rs. 6.00 lakh for the EX variant with the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol with 5-speed MT. The range tops out at Rs. 10.00 lakh (ex-showroom) with the SX (O) Connect variant, which gets 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol with 5-speed AMT.
The 2023 Exter is 3815mm long, 1710mm wide and 1631mm tall. Bigger exterior dimensions give a car a stronger road presence. The Exter has a 2450mm long wheelbase. A long wheelbase makes the car more stable at high speeds and gives better legroom in the back seat, while a shorter wheelbase makes the car more agile.
The 2023 Hyundai Exter has a fuel tank capacity of 37 litres and a boot space measuring 391 litres. The Exter has a ground clearance of 185mm. The tyre size of the 2023 Exter base model is 165/70 R14 and the top model rides on 175/65 R15 tyres. Cars running on bigger wheels provide better handling and styling. However, these advantages come at the cost of efficiency. Having bigger wheels means more metal and more rotating mass. Therefore, it adversely impacts your drivability, performance and mileage.
The Hyundai Exter is available with a 1.2L naturally aspirated Petrol engine and a 1.2L CNG engine. The 1.2L naturally aspirated Petrol engine is available with a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT transmission. The 1.2L CNG engine gets a 5-speed MT transmission.
