It’s really nice to see someone with a platform actually grateful and excited about getting beautiful windows put in. They are not cheap, and if you think about the amount of influencers who buy their “white and black modern farmhouses” that are all by the same builder in Brentwood, they never felt excited about all the details that went into their home. It is much better to get things in small chunks and appreciate those small things that make up one big thing, which is the essence of loving your home instead of just *having* a house.

I used to work in a chocolate shop that had a glass display case. The one thing I was taught about that case is that the single best glass cleaner is.....water. Just water. Wipe the surface with a wet rag and immediately wipe off the water with a dry rag. Streak free shine everytime.

We also didn’t realize we bought a DYI house. Nothing that had to be replaced was standard sized or done properly. It is still our dream house in the end. You have never looked better! I say house renovations are like the ninth month of pregnancy: uncomfortable, never ending, full of regrets but SO worth it in the end. Consider a solid staircase with a closet at the tallest part and drawers filling the rest of the space with long, narrow storage behind for brooms, mops, vacuum and etc. within the closet space. It's not unusual for the staircase to start at the rear lower level of the structure and go towards the front upper level, especially if it's an open floorplan. You'll be thankful for the storage space.

I am so, so SO CURIOUS how it all will look when done. The windows in that barn are amazing!
