Keep practicing - I like your attitude and I can see you are determined! I'm looking forward to hear when you have some completed songs to upload - I am sure they'll be great! Do you sing also? Good luck!
Highly recommend grabbing yourself a preamp - I'm interested in how it would sound without the acoustic quality Either that or id like to hear it as an acoustic track. You've got great ideas!
@@totallynotaly i just uploaded the bassline on my channel if you wanted to see, sorry for poorer quality if I had more time I would've put more effort in lol. its a bit sloppy
Agreed. Don't make music for positive comments. Make it because you actually have something worth making. This was a nice progression but imo very far removed from a finished song. Would love to hear different parts, vocal melodies, intriguing non-cliche lyrics, etc... that way you stand out and hopefully develop as a real artist that people will want to hear, not just because of their looks or because they want to fit in with a certain crowd or whatever... good luck!
i definitely agree that criticism is extremely important, but calling something mediocre without actually telling the person how to improve is pointless; either way, i don’t think this could fall under much musical criticism in general since it’s just a chord progression, not a song. it’s kind of like looking at a bowl of cake batter and trying to criticize it. it’s just a building block of what it could become so unless someone somehow made a god awful chord progression (lol), there’s not.. much to say about it (unless it’s some one in a million amazing chord progression lmao). i might understand what ur getting at about the compliments though since it’s just a chord progression and it isn’t anything you’d marvel at as it’s just a component of what could be a song (just like the cake batter analogy lol).
Either way as long as you have fun and are happy doing it, it doesn’t matter what others think! Just take a look at the songs I wrote, they stink but it’s straight from the heart! Pursue your purpose!
