That voice is still perfect in my mind. That man is still the one that’s forever #1 in my heart. I don’t care about comments, criticisms, or snarky jabs. He’s Paul McCartney. He’s everything any other singer/ songwriter would dream to be. And we lived when he did. Nobody can ask for more than that.

I am singer and 65 years old. I can still sing decently. If I ever get to where Paul is now, I would not WANT people to pay money to see me. I make no apologies. Paul needs to retire!!!! That is the truth. I have been singing for 50 years. He needs to retire. Now if he charged $10 a seat for his concerts, that would be fair. His voice is horrible at this point in time. He should feel guilty charging hundreds and thousands of dollars for a seat. He certainly doesn't need the money. Now if he said he was donating 100% of the concert proceeds minus expenses to charity, that would seem more ethical to me.

There's Fragility in his Voice. But there's a certain Beauty in that. I just hope at some point. With Humbleness he steps down at the right time. IF this was last Tour. It would be fitting I think. Probably greatest POP Artist there ever was.

I am 71,still performing and if I was playing 6 nights a week like I did in my late 50s doing a solo and singing every song,I might sound as problematical ad Sir Paul on this video(and did when I sang that much!). So,give him some leeway.You karaoke singers out there,out on your favorite songs and sing to them for 2 hours for about 4 nights and you will get an idea how it can be.D.C.
@ianz9916
@ianz9916 2 года назад
But that is exactly the point. He should scale it back so his voice can recover sufficiently to do himself justice. His album McCartney III shows he can still do it but, obviously, the number of performances and the length of those performances is taking it's toll. It is somewhat ironic that Beatles gigs lasted less than an hour at a point in their lives where they could have managed far more if only they could have heard what they were playing.

Why are you even here then?? No singer sounds the same forever!!

@@janebraun4482 there is a difference between not sounding the same and sounding terrible, especially with regards to the high ticket prices. However, the public do have a choice in whether they want to invest in these shows or not, and the overall experience of seeing Paul may be a bigger draw than how well he sings. I do think, though, it is sad to see his decline, and even sadder if his decline continues for all to see. I should imagine Paul is aware of it, and, of course, his band.

@@jedikiah1541 I would not agree at all. See what I wrote. No singer sounds the same, but they do make a good sound!! and one is respecting all of it. The music playing itself worth the price of admission!!

It's sad to hear the deterioration of his voice. He simply can't sing anymore. He's really out of tune. I can't tell why this happened. Paul Simon is older and still sounds the same as he did in the 1960s and 1970s. Paul McCartney should really quit singing. I adore him but this is too painful to watch and hear.

@MahmoudBBB Nobody forced Paul to sing these songs and certainly not in the same register for all these years.

@MahmoudBBB It's painful to see and hear a legend just struggling to sing. He had such a great voice and he should have taken better care of it. People don't seem to mind however because it's SIR PAUL McCARTNEY!

@@2v_5r84 he is just telling the truth. Paul cant sing and stop paying large amount of money for a mediocre performance. We are McCartney fans but doesn't mean we have to be blind and deaf. Get real!

I am (was) a fan but hes murdering his songs. If anyone else sang those songs that badly they would be booed offstage and probably booed by McCartney himself... He would have been better to let The Analogues tour doing his songs he join them on stage to play with them... but not to sing.... Imagine what Lennon would say if he were alive today....

I don't get this angle. Paul's come full circle. During Beatlemania, fans went to 'see' them, to experience The Beatles live. If you wanted to hear the great tunes, you listened to the radio and played their albums. I mean, it's Paul McCartney. Savor the moments. Be grateful that he's still doing it. Geez!
