It’s been 7 years I haven’t gone to the LDS church in Sacramento. I hope to go back. This song is my favorite and it was used when I was baptized to the church.

I am from Sacramento as well. There are lots of wards that are full of loving members that would love to see you. You take your time, God is always there for you no matter what 🤍

Sometimes people have to just back off and rest the church is pretty demanding but even though that may not be the problem, in my life I have found it can be too repetitious. And sometimes I've been in wars that were just totally boring. I've got to have like things that shift up take themselves out of just one kind of a routine. Everywhere out here in the United States is not as full of variety as the church is in Salt Lake City. Now I realize how expensive and why it's so expensive to live there there's just a lot going on there.
Growing up my piano teacher was the wife of a minister of another Christian denomination in our town. My mom asked her to teach me how to play this song. I remember after one of the first times playing it for her, she quietly said, "That is a powerful song." She said it with simple sincerity, and it's never left me.

I never was brought up this way. How awesome it is to see how each are grounded from youth! I praise our HEAVENLY FATHER for each of you. Your missionaries are blessings beyond belief. To come in one accord under THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD and see the amazing work our LORD has done with each one has brightened my heart with a sweet savor only our LORD could produce. When I shared this beautiful hym to other special friends, I notice great feelings on they faces; que me conster-no too much. Beside my love for it, it give me great memories. I'm sorry sometimes I forget my English. I do not have my dictionary with me now.
Yes!!! I'm a Christian and my son took the agnostic route. At first I didn't like it it I have to respect it because he is an adult. But I know he feels God's love because everytime be hears beautiful songs like this he gets a tear in his eye 😁 May God continue to shower you with his love. Amen
To all those who feel unworthy to become active again or those who are seeking the gospel i speak of experience i say this and bear testimony being one who did the same. God and Jesus love you. No matter the wrong that caused the inactivity become as a child and learn his teachings again. Seek the scriptures and read them daily. Satan will become active again. Pray and pray and pray daily and nightly that you can defeat him. Also do as the scriptures say. It is all for the better. My way did nothing but make me sin and become depressed. It easy to say "this is the way my life is". No its not. Once you remember where came from and what we can become thru obedience you can see where the errors are and correct them. God loves us all. Its why he sent Jesus Christ. Thru proper repentance all is well. We are all worthy of his love. You just gotta open the door to let him in.
I belive that as we grow into adulthood is when we need to be reminded that, Yes, We are all Children of a merciful God.. As flawed people we do expect and often over think and apply unnecessary pressure on ourselves. We need to always try and keep it simple and in the face of struggle and great turmoil. We simply need to go to our knees, and turn our hearts Heaven wards, ask and we shall receive. "Celestial Glory" can be ours if we do our part... I testify that God lives. Jesus is the Christ and through his great Atonement we may have "Celestial Glory" and live in Eternal felicity among our loved ones... I AM A CHILD OF GOD... HE HAS SENT ME HERE.... and he knows me and he knows my needs...
I have great memories growing up LDS and I see how much the morals and stable families help individuals and society. I converted to Islam decades ago which essentially took those same morals and behaviors to the next level.
Good I know a lot of ex Mormons usually say bad things about our church but it’s good to know that some people are able to leave the church in a respectful way.
So beautiful for her to know that she is a child of God. As a result she will have an awesome life. Blessings to your guidance to give her that gift of the truth.

this song breaks my heart. when i was 8, my friends dad passed away from a brain tumor and his wish was to have the primary kids come sing this at his funeral. It was really hard to do because i knew him and his kids so well. :( still get sad hearing this.

Bro I didn’t like this song when I was in Primary because people kept thinking this was my fav song whenever I was trying to remember the title for the song Heavenly Fathers Plan. But now that I’m more mature I friggen love this song because being a child of God is like one of the most important things to me ever. Yall have mo clue this is my whole soul bro.
I want to thank Heavenly father for sending me into this world with a kind heart. I know its true I look down on other people who do kindness I guess that's just me. But I still praise him through Christ Jesus who died so we could all live someday with the Father. My Good deeds may be Filthy rags according to Scripture but it makes me happy to ease the pain of someone else so they may have a good day.

This is my favorite choir but that might be because its one of the only choir I have listened to but if I listened to more choirs this one would still be my favorite.
