God draws everyone to Him through the three transcendentals: Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. Many people, even atheists, are drawn to him through the beauty of music, especially music like this!
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:2 Jesus did not pay for our sins only in part: he paid for all our sins. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" John 8:36 we are reconciled back with God through Christ and the only way to eternal life in heaven is to truly know the father is through our Lord Jesus "i am the only way truth and life the only way to the father is through me" John 14:6 live for him and him only, "No one can serve two masters, for either he. will hate the one and love the other; or else. he will be devoted to one and despise the other." Matthew 6:24 Come to Christ now! The clock is ticking towards going to hell
I suddenly started crying so hard when I listened to this.. I got a glimpse of the profoundly deep motherly love Maria must have felt for her newborn baby
I cried to this too especially since I heard this song when I was becoming a christian, and back to the time when I was on fire for the Lord. Now I feel so far from Him because of sin and intrusive thoughts and I miss Jesus more than ever :(
@@felinelover9486 Return to Him, He Who is our first love! I know what it’s like to be in the deepest, darkest pits of sin, but although reaching for His outstretched hand and climbing back out of it is so, so hard to do and really hurts, it’s even more so worth it! It’s painful because we know we were the ones who left Him, not the other way around, and it’s tough at first to accept that we would really treat anyone-let alone our Lord and God and Saviour-that way. But the worth is infinite, and the reward forever! All He needs is for you to make the step toward Him, and as in the parable of the prodigal son, the moment He sees you heading toward Him in the distance, He will gird His loins and start running off to meet you halfway! Take heart, sister, and fear not; God is with us, if we only let Him be! I hope your Christmas season has been good to you, and your new year full of hope and light.
I'm not a member of lds church, but I just love this Choir! And now it feels like real angels came down to the Earth to sing, to warm up our hearts and give piece... Thank you for making this world a little better!
"Sir come before my child dies. Jesus awnsered go your son will live. The man believed what Jesus told him and went home on the way the man's servants came and met him and told him your son is alive the man asked, well what time did my son begin to get well they awnsered yesterday at one o clock the fever left him. The father knew that one o clock was the exact time Jesus has said your son will live so the man and all the people who lived in his house believed in Jesus" John 4:49-53 Jesus wants us to pray without ceasing, he wants us in prayer constantly but not about the same things, believe that God will come through with your prayers and he will, don't look at the situation or facts but faith because "the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" philippians 4:7
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.” ephesians 2:8-9 were saved through Christ and him alone
I'm singing this at my university and I am simply not over this arrangement. From the instrumental melody to the key change dissonance, it's pure beauty!
I am a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN and this brings JOY to my Soul that my LORD and Savior is glorified is such a joyous Song. Praise be to you my Savior JESUS CHRIST!!!!
I am Orthodox Christian, from Eastern Europe and it has been my lifetime dream to attend a Christmas ceremony of this Choir in particular. The Mormons sing these songs like no other, you can feel and listen the love, emotion and devotion in each and every song. Magnificent! Some day i say, some day .....
I completely agree! Also just the spirit u feel from listening to this song is also proof that our Father in Heaven exists and loves each and every one of us!
And that science has a law that cells can only come from existing cells, thus making it impossible for life to be created if the Big Bang theory happened :/ and a lot of other things
@@colinmarshall9471 At the very least, the Big Bang is not the only colossal event to have happened in the Beginning. God played a bigger hand in Creation than we will ever truly understand while on this Earth.
@@colinmarshall9471 That is not what the big bang theory states nor what cell theory states. Currently, all living cells come from pre-existing cells. Just like all humans currently living were created by the genetic material of other pre-existing humans...
I’m not a Christian / Mormon. I actually left the church. However, I will always love the music of my childhood faith. It has helped make me who I am. This is amongst my favorites.
I'm proudly part of this church, our choir is small, because we 're few people at home...Panama,but we're trying to do our best.We can't compare with biggest country ,and their population. But, we need to get together as a brotherhood,if we really believe in God this Christmas, wherever we are...Rich or poors, white, yellow,or blacks...no enthnical situation or social status, never ever should separate us.We're the Family of God!
I grew up in the Church and every single time I hear this song, I can't help but become overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit! It gets me to the point where I can't help but get teary eyed. I am so grateful and blessed for having the knowledge of the Church!
I am a Jehowah Witness ; This is the most beautiful Inspired Song by the Holy Spirit That Jehowah of the Hosts gave to Mankind. I cried like a child ! It touched profoundly my hearth. God bless The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.

One of the great Christmas carols of the past and present centuries.Sung and the Orchestra played beautifully as usual by this fantastic combination of musicians.
The arrangement is absolutely perfect! It is beautifully crafted - each note having a precise purpose but still delicate. Everything being topped off by these incredible musicians. Praise God! What an incredible piece to celebrate The Lord Jesus Christ's birth!
i may be an atheist but i was raised christian so i still have weak spot for this music and it is very well performed and it has that warm Christmas feel to it that is needed these days. Goodness and peace can exist independent of any god and this music is goodness and peace incarnate.
Nik henagar So why remain as an atheists? You are sweet spirited who enjoys this beautiful music and embraces peace and goodness, righteousness which comes only from our Savior Jesus Christ.
Years ago I woke up at 5am on Christmas morning and amazingly my kids weren't up yet. This was during a time I rarely had a moment to myself and so I decided I would turn on the devotional I had missed. This was the first song the Tabernacle Choir performed and I was so overwhelmed by how beautiful it was, I cried. It was such a gift to sit by out Christmas tree by myself and think about our Savior. The third verse is especially powerful. I wished so much that I could sing this arrangement with an orchestra and choir. Years later Ensign Symphony & Chorus was created and I got my wish. I'm so grateful!
+Felipe Gonzalez ~ Brother Gonzalez, Sister Flitton's advice is sound. Go to the chat feature at Mormon.org, and tell them you want to know for yourself that Christ exists...they will give you the formula for how you can find out for yourself, and will never have to take the advice of anyone else...ever again....! God bless!
He exists. maybe not in the framework of worldwide LDS land grabs, CIA penetration, or false flags in America, but He exists in the courage of everyone who follows the golden rule, everyone who speaks the truth even though excoriation follows, everyone who demands justice in this life. Courage, truth, love : all are of Jesus. God Bless You
He is. In your faith. In your deeds to your fellow man. Love all around you. Christ will be with you. He promised us that, in his sermon on the mount, remember?
I've had the privilege of playing this same arrangement in Orchestra. It is a beautiful version and definitely a great way to invite the spirit to anyone's heart that listens.
i like this song.... we are lucky to have a prophets guiding with us in this generation... i love you latter day saints.. i love you heavenly father.. i love jesus christ... am proud of being a latter day saints......
I admire the Mormon's choir rendition. How i wish to be one of your violinist. I'm Victor C. Mawili, from the Phil., violin enthusiast, a musician. Merry Christmas to everyone !
Iam just a person who believes now and ever and ever in God , when I listen and talk about the love of God spoken thru his son Jesus, I start to cry . No matter how hard I compose myself , I cry . Oh God if you see this ....please remember when we were as children pure and forget our sins . Thank you . A heavy heart
@Emily Tolman...i was born at home on Christmas night while my dad was at midnight mass in 1952...i just love this carol...this has to be best rendition...Merry Christmas to you Emily and your family...peace and love from India
I would describe this carol as this: The music rises slowly and steadily, rising in power as the dynamics soars to the highest point of the music: like Angels soaring down from heaven to where Jesus lays in the manger. I think this version is just immaculate. Well done!
WOW JAMES you put into words so honestly and simplyy what I have thought of for well over 60 yrs. THANK YOU and GOD BLESS all who LOVE OUR KING OUR SAVIOUR OUR LORD. Blessings to you and all Pax+
